So what are the coaches doing today?

The Cowboys and Giants are at a bit of disadvantage today. While the rest of the league is pouring over released players and possible trades today and tomorrow, Dallas and New York have to get ready to play.

It makes me nervous if Jerry is handling the roster moves while Garrett is working on the gameplan. Under no circumstances should Jerry be allowed around the football area without Garrett's supervision.

Or course, I'm sure the coaches have been working on this gameplan for weeks now, but the players haven't.

I shudder at who's at the helm right now.

Reading the Zone to figure out who to cut and who to keep.

The players are off today, yeah? I imagine there's game-planning going on. Probably meetings and whatnot. I don't know how Valley Ranch operates.

And just how do you know that's what's going on?

Judging by your Jerry hate posts, you probably think Jerry has a huge board with every players pics. posted up, and Jerry just throws darts at the pics. deciding which player to keep, or cut, but the roster moves are handled as a staff. Meaning coaches, scouts, and yes, Jerry and Stephen, all collaborate on making personnel/roster moves as a staff. And yes, Garrett and the players have already been game planning for the Giants. Hope that clears up your question some what.

You never know. Jason Garrett could be focused solely on roster moves today while Jerry Jones is working out the gameplan for Wednesday. :)

One must FEED the Jerry Jones obsession. ;) :laugh1:

You might be on ton something here. I could see Jason and Jerry playing rock, paper, scissors on a daily basis. Winner gets to coach, loser gets to play GM.

Rob Ryan and Jason Garrett have both said in interviews that they've been installing the gameplan for the Giants for several weeks now, and a couple of players have mentioned it as well. The players are off today and will practice tomorrow and Sunday and have a walk-through on Monday to finish the installation.

Regardless of what you may personally think of the current FO of the Cowboys, no professional team is so half-***** that they wait until 5 days before the first game of the season when they KNOW it's going to be hectic personnel-wise to come up with a gameplan.

There's obsession and then there's insanity...and some folks don't really know where that line is...

I have no doubt the Cowboys have been working and practicing the game plan vs the Giants. Instead of practicing for the last pre season game vs Miami you better believe the Cowboys have been working with the Giants game in mind and no doubt Giants have been doing the same

Duh, that is a no brainer as every team out there has been looking ahead to their season opener not the last pre season game.

The rhetoric has been out there so long that some have become conditioned to not comprehend the difference. I've been saying it for years. Some literally see Jerry Jones as The Devil or Satan. I tell ya, he's evil incarnate. :laugh1:

It's funny to me that some people think the head coach and not the scouts and other personnel people would be doing this job anyway.

It would not surprise me on bit if some of the posters here believed what you just typed!

My point exactly. To even entertain the thought that it hasn't been happening at Valley Ranch is ludicrous.

Of course he is. There is plenty of proof too.
