So what did we give up to move to #55 from #59?

Our original 2nd round pick & our late 4th round pick.

stupid to trade up 4 spots.

thats not why its stupid, moving up to get a really good lb like sean lee is good, from 4 spots, but reason why its dumb, whatever coach, or owner that told us to go get holland for a 5th round pick, who never hardly played. Now thats why its stupid!

last year people were complaining how we waited for the draft to come to us - but all the players we wanted were getting taken 2/3 picks before us.

Why not trade away some picks and get who you want?

all of a sudden - its "Why give up picks"???

You say it's like a bad thing that Dallas is doing what winning franchises do and stick to their boards.:rolleyes:

sean lee has drawn comparisions like jack ham the very good linebacker that played for the steelers in the 70s,

he is smart, studies the game and plays it hard and the way its suppose to be played

That's my only quibble. All the players are pretty much interchangeable at this point, so there's no guy you just have to have. If he's not there when you pick, get on with your life.

Who says these picks weren't even for needs? I think putting a guy like Dez on the other side of Austin is JUST what we needed. As for Lee, Brooking is up there in age, so why not draft a position that may be of NEED soon?

We accomplished nearly everything with these picks. We got the best players on our board and drafted for needs without giving up much on the draft charts.

its not totally bad, you always go by your board and you dont reach;

i do believe however that Ducasse was listed about the same place on the cowboys board as sean lee, but i think wade really wanted this player because of what keith brooking said about lee after he sat down with him for a dallas visit going over film

I love this pick. He grew up about 10 minutes frome me, comes from a good family. Tough, hard nosed football player that Jack Ham says is the best lb to play at Penn St. and he should know.
