Regarding the three expected cuts of MB3, Bigg and RW11.

Marion Barber - I'm really bittersweet about his imminent departure. I guess I just really had Ring of Honor aspirations for this guy from the time of his 2003 rookie campaign and on as we watched him develop, but like most bruisers before him his body was claimed by the very playstyle he used to punish defenders. The Wade Phillips era inflicted many casualties to the running game, with Red not doing anybody any favors. Regardless, MB3 was an absolute warrior for 7 years on every single snap he played and I will miss him.

Leonard Davis - A pricey mercernary in the twilight of his career. Ultimately I feel we got what we paid for, but like many others his potential was lost awash in the ineptitude surrounding him.

RW11 - The fact that we gave a 1st, 3rd, and 6th for this bum will hurt for a long time. The Lions front office had to have burst into uncontrollable laughter after they hung up the phone with Jerruh and the deal was finalized. They absolutely fleeced us. He was dead to me after he single-handedly gave the game away last Thanksgiving against the $%!$& saints. If that debacle hasn't convinced Jerry he has no business whatsoever handling personnel decisions, then the future of this team is seriously in jeopardy for another decade.

I agree except for the Roy Williams bit. Yeah, we over paid for him. But we also didn't know Miles Austin would emerge and it's not like he had a great coach. Once JG took over, he looked great.

He was a cap casualty.

I think it's time for a new SIG man! haha.

We'll have plenty sig worthy pics this season. I might actually have to edit one. :starspin

Jerry paid for filet mignon and lobster and got bologna and cheese.

We knew Barber was a bad contract the day we paid it. He was a battering ram who everyone figured would only be able to last a few years playing that way, and he countered by altering his style to seemingly prolong his career. The result was that he never impacted the offense quite like he did when playing as the Barbarian. We were in a tough spot back then, because he was in many ways the soul of the offense. A lot of people compared him to Manu Ginobili as our spark off the bench. I understood resigning him at that rate, but you also knew it was a contract we would regret.

I agree on Davis. You never expected him to blossom to the point where he truly fulfilled his potential, but he did play better here than he ever did in Arizona. Truth be told, I think he was a pretty solid signing, but he was a guy who aged fast last season. In a time where we had to crunch our cap and get younger on the line, it was an easy choice to get rid of him.

As for Roy, he'll forever be one of the most perplexing Cowboys in my opinion. We vastly overpaid to get him, but the move made plenty of sense from a tactical standpoint. But we never got the player we thought we were getting. We saw a guy who put up good numbers on a lousy team with no quarterback, and assumed he'd only get better with Romo and while playing opposite T.O. Then, suddenly, T.O. was gone and he was expected to be our No. 1, but couldn't do it. Austin then emerges, but Roy couldn't even emerge as his running mate.

Roy improved last year, but a bad play always seemed to be around the corner. The New Orleans fumble certainly embodied his time here.
