...A quick scoring offense that mainly focuses on passing the ball (we played this way for most of the year)

or

An offense that sustains long drives by having 50% running and 50% passing plays.

To be honest, with the way Romo plays, I prefer more of a pass happy offense. Especially with having Witten and Owens on our team.

Substitute a run for a 5 yard pass to Witten. Things like that.

We can still run it obviously but the main focus is passing. And that way we can still use Barber effectively. He uses so much energy on each run that he can tire out pretty quickly.

I felt like by the end of the year, we tried to get the running game going and it slowed our offense down. Hence, the lower scoring. Then against the giants, we start Barber and we definitely focus a lot more on running then we have all year. But we didnt really get the results that we were looking for except for that one long drive.

I feel like Romo is a rhythm player, and for him to be in rhythm, he needs a chance to get in rhythm.

With this team I like to pass the ball a lot more than Normal.

When we have the lead we are a hard team to beat because we are good at putting teams away.

Parcells kinda went the other way with this team and we just never had that killer instinct that we do now.

I prefer an offense that can do both, at differing times, but at will. It's pretty frustrating to see us get double digit leads only to let the other team back in the game because you can't run the ball. We need a speedster with some vision at RB.

If I really had to choose one, though, I'll take the excitement that our offense produced in the first half of the season.

I'd prefer to have a balanced attack. If the passing game is totally in sync then that may lead to some quick scores. But I'd hate having to mainly rely on the passing game to the point where if it's bad weather or someone's having a bad day it means you're doomed.

I always take the quick scoring offense. For starters, it's hard to sustain long drives and score points, particularly touchdowns. The more plays you have in a drive, the more likely you are to screw something up...like a penalty or a missed blocking assignment or a drop, etc...and thus you wind up punting the ball away or settling for a field goal.

The other reason is that there's going to be times where you need to score quickly, so if you're a team that needs to sustain drives to score, you're probably going to struggle to score quickly when you need to.

I think the key is make adjustments and have the plan that if something isn't working, you'll try to attack elsewhere instead of the Mike Martz-esque way of thinking which is "you can't possibly stop what we are doing all game long."

I prefer a 50/50 balance with an aggressive defense.

I prefer offenses that come up big in the clutch and win Super Bowls. :D

I'd like to be a full blown scary aerial circus with more offensive weapons than New England.

Keep in mind the NFL makes it easier for offenses like ours more than a true 50/50 balanced offense with the rules in place.

Well Jacobs and Bradshaw seem to be a good fit for them. And they have something nice with Plaxico.

I do like their personnel but I was mainly referring to the coaching philosophy. Kevin Gilbride has done a great job of using all his weapons and mixing up his calls; he keeps defenses guessing.
