I've been seeing snippets here and there about a mistress and now he's been put on administrative leave.

Anyone know the deets?

No idea outside of the fact he is a pretty darn good coach...

Ark coach Bobby Petrino put on leave after crash

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP)—Arkansas put football coach Bobby Petrino on paid leave Thursday after he failed to disclose he had been riding with a female employee half his age when his motorcycle skidded off the road over the weekend — an accident that prompted him to apologize for that and for what he described as a “previous inappropriate relationship.”

Athletic director Jeff Long announced the decision and said he had no timeline in determining Petrino’s future with the Razorbacks.

“I’m at the beginning of the review. I don’t know what I’m going to find,” Long said.

i havent really liked that guy since the way he left the falcons, he is a scumbag

He's done at Arkansas IMO, just going through due process beofre firing him. He already had a very poor character reputation and now he's a confirmed adulterer with a school employee. He also lied to his AD.

as it turns out he is a liar. who would have thunk it. I'm amazed he is able to recruit given what he pulled in atlanta.

Who are you to judge??? Wooo Pig Sooooie...maybe the mods can move this to the appropriate place!

I believe Petrino was quoted as saying, "I'd wreck that."

I can't remember a coach in any sport being put on administrative leave only to come back and coach for that team/school. It's simply part of the process you have to go through to fire someone without legal ramifications.

:laugh1:

Really, you get what he was thinking, even though it's scummy at best. But what was she thinking?

And it's the SEC, and he's got them winning. I wouldn't assume he's gone at all.

I'm not so sure. He may be a lowlife, but he's a heckuva college coach. It's amazing what ADs can forgive when the guy is winning.

I think he's a goner.

FWIW, Mike Price was at an SEC school too.

Petrino didn't want 911 call, called security

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Moments after their motorcycle accident, Bobby Petrino and a female employee told a passer-by not to call 911, then got a ride back to Fayetteville where the Arkansas football coach was met by a state trooper who provides his personal security during the season.

New details of the immediate aftermath of Petrino's crash were in a 911 call released Friday by the state police. The passer-by, Larry Hendren, describes coming upon the accident scene Sunday evening just after Petrino and Jessica Dorrell "were getting up out of the ditch." He said Petrino was "walking, but it looked like his face was bleeding quite a lot."

"The rider and the passenger of the motorcycle declined us to call 911," Hendren told a dispatcher. "They got into a vehicle and headed toward the hospital."

Also, I think Petrino hired the young lady in question to her position at Arkansas U. only about a week before. I think he has to go. Lie, cheat, whatever but I think he doesn't make it through this intact as hc of the Hogs.
