So when does the first outside FA get signed?

First 3 days?

First week?

Second week?

I am a see it to believe it guy. I think they'll do the same thing they have always done which is wait out the first rush, maybe the second rush and then see what's left. Instead of targeting guys they want and try to get them (unlike a divisional rival, cough, cough) they roll the dice and hope that someone they want slips through the cracks and they can get them cheaper.

It's why they have failed in FA for a decade or more.
Any outside free agent? Within a couple days. A prime free agent of more than let’s say $15M AAV? Within the next century

Today in fact. Hope this helps

They definitely dived into the dumpster earlier than usual. That much surprised me.

I can at least appreciate that over the usual approach of waiting to see who's left to take a low-cost deal. Now, we're just seeing who'll take a low-cost deal.

Typically signings on first day of FA are impact players. Jethro signs someone he would normally sign on week 4 of FA on the first day, and people get excited.
It does surprise me that players would take the cheap deals this early. Must mean they know that they are not going to get a better offer.

Jethro is trying to a Jedi mind trick on Cowboy fans, by picking up players he would at the end of FA on day 1.

Well, Stephen did say "selectively aggressive." They are being aggressive in going after players early, but still selecting from the bargain bin.

The signings today may be as simple as the Joneses not wanting media to say they didn't sign anybody or here we go again. Now, they can say, look, we got after it from the start! We targeted the guys we wanted and went and got them.

This is a marketing scam that Jethro invented.
Yesterday's all in is today's selectively aggressive. But we all knew that going into free agency. Nothing done today should come as a surprise, other than it was done today instead of at least a couple of weeks from now.

Doing it now gives the Joneses the ability to say these are the players they wanted because they targeted them from the start.

Not on person is buying any of Jethro's Big Hat, No Cattle, Circus BS.

He is only picking up players, that will not have an impact on Comp Picks. Same thing he has been doing for some time now.

Our best luck would be him making a trade that we don't get fleeced in.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. He and Stephen have shown that they are willing to make trades.

There real strategy is Intentional Incompetence.

True, but they are doing it on purpose, so it is intentional. If it was random or accidental, they would not have the same consistency.
The consistency is based on an incompetent philosophy, whether they know that it is incompetent, I'm not sure. I think they believe they can win doing it this way, despite evidence to the contrary.

Well, they have started their dumpster diving the first day of free agency.
So theirs that, lol.

Or.......they are simply insane !!!!!! ??
You know insane people can appear sane most of the time.
