they will start signing FA’s when they start accepting a Big Mac combo for a signing bonus.
Any outside free agent? Within a couple days. A prime free agent of more than let’s say $15M AAV? Within the next centuryFirst 3 days?
First week?
Second week?
I am a see it to believe it guy. I think they'll do the same thing they have always done which is wait out the first rush, maybe the second rush and then see what's left. Instead of targeting guys they want and try to get them (unlike a divisional rival, cough, cough) they roll the dice and hope that someone they want slips through the cracks and they can get them cheaper.
It's why they have failed in FA for a decade or more.
Today in fact. Hope this helpsFirst 3 days?

Typically signings on first day of FA are impact players. Jethro signs someone he would normally sign on week 4 of FA on the first day, and people get excited.Today in fact. Hope this helps
They definitely dived into the dumpster earlier than usual. That much surprised me.First 3 days?

It does surprise me that players would take the cheap deals this early. Must mean they know that they are not going to get a better offer.Typically signings on first day of FA are impact players. Jethro signs someone he would normally sign on week 4 of FA on the first day, and people get excited.
Jethro is trying to a Jedi mind trick on Cowboy fans, by picking up players he would at the end of FA on day 1.It does surprise me that players would take the cheap deals this early. Must mean they know that they are not going to get a better offer.
Well, Stephen did say "selectively aggressive." They are being aggressive in going after players early, but still selecting from the bargain bin.Jethro is trying to a Jedi mind trick on Cowboy fans, by picking up players he would at the end of FA on day 1.
This is a marketing scam that Jethro invented.Well, Stephen did say "selectively aggressive." They are being aggressive in going after players early, but still selecting from the bargain bin.
The signings today may be as simple as the Joneses not wanting media to say they didn't sign anybody or here we go again. Now, they can say, look, we got after it from the start! We targeted the guys we wanted and went and got them.Jethro is trying to a Jedi mind trick on Cowboy fans, by picking up players he would at the end of FA on day 1.
Yesterday's all in is today's selectively aggressive. But we all knew that going into free agency. Nothing done today should come as a surprise, other than it was done today instead of at least a couple of weeks from now. This is a marketing scam that Jethro invented.
Not on person is buying any of Jethro's Big Hat, No Cattle, Circus BS.Yesterday's all in is today's selectively aggressive. But we all knew that going into free agency. Nothing done today should come as a surprise, other than it was done today instead of at least a couple of weeks from now.
Doing it now gives the Joneses the ability to say these are the players they wanted because they targeted them from the start.
Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. He and Stephen have shown that they are willing to make trades. Not on person is buying any of Jethro's Big Hat, No Cattle, Circus BS.
He is only picking up players, that will not have an impact on Comp Picks. Same thing he has been doing for some time now.
Our best luck would be him making a trade that we don't get fleeced in.
There real strategy is Intentional Incompetence.Yesterday's all in is today's selectively aggressive. But we all knew that going into free agency. Nothing done today should come as a surprise, other than it was done today instead of at least a couple of weeks from now.

I think you give them too much credit. I believe it is just incompetence. There real strategy is Intentional Incompetence.
True, but they are doing it on purpose, so it is intentional. If it was random or accidental, they would not have the same consistency.I think you give them too much credit. I believe it is just incompetence.
The consistency is based on an incompetent philosophy, whether they know that it is incompetent, I'm not sure. I think they believe they can win doing it this way, despite evidence to the contrary.True, but they are doing it on purpose, so it is intentional. Or.......they are simply insane !!!!!! ??The consistency is based on an incompetent philosophy, whether they know that it is incompetent, I'm not sure. I think they believe they can win doing it this way, despite evidence to the contrary.
