Anybody know when it is being heard?

Also, does anybody know anything about this University of Penn professor? Is he a legit independent 3rd party or is he hand picked by the league? If Roger is signing his paycheck then I already know what the decision is going to be.

In other words, is this going to be legit or is this like the Saints appealing Roger's suspension to Roger himself. That is just the dumbest thing, seriously.

I bet we get hosed, I hope not, but I am not holding my breathe this is legit.

I thought it was a no go, because all the other teams didn't want to give back the money the NFL distributed to them, from us!

The other teams can't prevent a complaint by other teams from going into arbitration by a vote, IIRC. All it means is that the 29 teams that did vote voted not to rescind the penalties, making arbitration the next step in the process for Snyder and Jones.

I'll assume, as with anything of this nature, that arbitration isn't a speedy process.

To my knowledge, no date has been set. As for the University of Pennsylvania professor who is going to be hearing the case, I believe he is a professional mediator that handles any number of cases for various fields. From that perspective, he should be a completely non-biased third party.

Not saying the 'Boys and Skins are going to win it, but there's no legal reason they shouldn't.

Goodell just on moving the chains on Sirius Radio, no updates on date. Says the league heads knew about possible fines being levied before the 2012 free agent beginning and Dallas and Washington were not bushwacked 24 hours before the beginning. NFL and NFLPA were in agreement about the fines levied and had been in talks for over a year. This may not be completely accurate but what I heard while working. If anyone has something to add please do I was in and out on it.

That sounds about like what they've said before. The problem is, you can't have a "gentlemen's agreement" between the NFL and the NFLPA that is legally binding without a Collective Bargaining Agreement. That's the hole in the league's case from day 1, and they really can't address it.
