So who did good?

Good:
Felix
Romo (2nd drive)
But Sam Hurd was the star of the game. Got open easily.....caught everything.

Bad:
Brown
2nd/3rd team DL

Proctor was terrible. Cost us a TD late in the second half. Bad snap wayyy over Kitna's head.

:laugh2:

Bueller called the game off cause his first kick wasn't a touch back.......... it'd didn't touch the back of God;)

Unfortunately, they all came after the WR caught the ball on him 20 yards down the field.

Add Mickens to the bad list.

Well, he gave them a 50 yard cushion, so that was pretty good.

I dont think anyone on the second team defense played well.

Starting Oline looked decent, 2nd team looked awful.

From what I saw (I didnt watch the entire game) the entire 2nd/3rd team looked terrible.

I thought Sensabaugh played really well. So nice to see a safety cover ground!

Kitna, even with the pick, makes me much less nervous about our backup spot.

I thought Bennett looked good.

Scandrick looked good.

Ken Hamlin played pretty decent getting to a few balls..

Felix...

kind of pissed that we haven't devoted much effort to the lines

alot of low-round, UFAs on both sides of the line

Carp looked good dropping back and rushing the passer (although he's gotta keep his eyes on the QB) but he still looked a little lost against the run.

Yep, 50 yard cushion and still got beat deep.

I actually disagree on the second OL looking bad, at least across the board. I watched Free and he was pass blocking well and was adequate in run defense. McQuistan played better than I expected. At one point he got a punch on someone and the guy just went flying.

Holland was okay but Gibbons and Proctor were awful.

Carp came in and played poorly at first. His coverage was good but he was eating guards on the second level a lot. The Raiders left starters in for a series or two longer than us and our line was being single blocked giving guards free shots.

Once they pulled their starters his play improved. He had that play in coverage but at one point he engaged a guard got off the block and made the tackle. It was the first time in a long time --his rookie year-- I've seen that. It helps when the entire dline isnt getting blown off the ball and the blockers dont have a full head of steam.

All backup WR not named Hurd either didnt show up or sucked.

Chandler caught a few passes and Phillips did well blocking.

Williams and Butler were hard to watch.

Our ST were a mixed bag. Our KO returns got better as the game went along and our coverage units are going to be much better. We need to find a PR or its going to be FC Crayton again.

Positives:

No injuries
Romo
RW11
entire RB squad, including Lattimore
Witten
Marty B & his new stiff arm weapon
Brooking
Carpenter made a play (which I missed so I hope I don't have to wait another 3 years to see another one)
Safeties: Sensabaugh and Hamlin
Alan Ball - the boy is gonna bring the wood, good physical hits and tackles
1st team OL
Kitna as a backup
Sam Hurd
Punt return coverage
Touchback on kickoff

Negatives:
Too many penalties
2nd team OL
entire 2nd/3rd team defense - rookies looked like bobbleheads out there
McGee indecisive - didn't make mistakes which is good, but he didn't make any plays either
Stanback - I'd say the project is over but none of the young guys stepped up either
Willie Reid muffed punt
Ogletree dropped passes
Austin dropped pass on a slant that probably would've been taken to the house

Just plain awful:
Courtney Brown
Mike Mickens
Proctor

Bad:
The run defense was pathetic.
McFadden has a 45 yard run.
The Raiders were getting at least 5 yards per rush.
The 2nd and 3rd teams cannot tackle or cover.
Brown and Mickens were terrible.
I don't know how Proctor is still on the team.

The defense overall was depressing.

Good:
Hurd looked real good.
Lattimore looked good.
McGee wasn't too bad.
I was hoping to see more from Ogletree as a receiver but he had a couple of good kick off returns.
Mike Hamlin and DeAngelo Smith were decent.
Beuhler kicked one into endzone, kicked a FG and was in a tackle on a punt coverage.

Beuhler and McGee looked the best among the rookies.

That's saying something...I thought McGee was horrible today due to his inexperience.
