I hope this topic hasn't been talked about already.

I don't know much about the draft this year except for the ones the Boys want and Mark Sanchez/Matt Stafford so who do you guys think will be this years biggest bust?

Stafford, easily. Risky pick on a questionable talent in a lean draft going first to an awful team with a bad offensive line and no defense.

This year's biggest draft bust will be Ryan Leaf. He will be next years too... and the year after that etc.

I'll say Freeman. Something tells me he'll be drafted too high.

Cassell too.

Leinart wasn't exactly terrible either considering his youth.

I like Sanchez a lot but I said it before Carrol ever said it.... He needed more time in college.

I think after he matures and gets used to the pro game, I think Sanchez will be a very good QB.

I'd guess Andre Smith. He has the talent to be very good, but after some of his disatrous decisions (like running with his shirt off), I wonder if he's not a wee bit loco.

Carson Palmer was the first overall pick and is a quality QB, one of the best when healthy. Matt Cassell has also seemed to find a place in the NFL and he was not a #1 overall pick.

The USC QB bust label is at most on Leinart and other than him any of the other USC QB's that were regarded as pro talent have faired well. Cassell didn't even get any action in college. Leinart plays behind a pro bowler and future HOF'er in Kurt Warner who he was competing with for the starting spot. The jury still is out on Leinart.

Mark Sanchez will have a better career than Matt Stafford and although only had 1 real season of play in college is more pro ready. Sanchez has talent and the mental make up to win in this league. He will not be a bust health permitting and being given some weapons to play with.

Cassell has not proven anything really. Leinart frankly is looking more and more like a bust.

I'll say Jeremy Maclin will never live up to the hype.

If he ends up in Oakland maybe not. Maclin is extremely explosive anytime he has the ball. How sure are the hands and how would he adapt to a pro level play book. Routes are raw because of the playbook utilized at Mizzou.

Now Crabtree, all so super productive and decorated. Has the hands, the route running and is obviously dependable. His speed is the question and it seems to be average. But the guy just knows how to catch balls and that's what his position is there to do.

Regardless, at the WR position, Crabtree is getting the Reggie Bush level of hype and those expectations are impossible to meet. Those expectations are what they are because of his college productivity, so alot of it is certainly earned. He was the best WR in college the last 2 seasons. I think he will have similar success to Dwayne Bowe out of KC and that's a good WR. Won't be a bust but either is Reggie Bush and all of that hype, like Reggie can't be met in this league.

Not saying Cassell was top 7 talent last year. Probably not top 10, but he won 10 games last year and lost 5. Brady started the first 1 when he got hurt and Cassell finished that game up.

Now, weak division last year but those first 10 1/2 games being thrown in like that aren't a fluke. He's had the best coach to prepare him on the fly like that but when you play behind Tom Brady you don't think you're going to see the field. He went out and played without his 2 starting rb's most of the season and they passed the ball.

First few games it was rinky dink passing because the kid was bench warming all offseason and couldn't be in sync with the starters. He got going into the season though. Broncos were willing to trade Cutler heads up for him. That's got to say something. Right now Cassell is at 10 - 5.
