Here's what Dr. Z said when he picked Flo to his All-Pro team this year...

TACKLES (Flozell Adams, Jason Peters) I'd never picked Adams on my All-Pro team and I didn't plan to this year. I mean, his technique was just so sloppy. He kind of engulfs people. I wasn't even going to do a grading on him, along with the other lads. But then I was going through my DEs and the Giants' Osi Umenyiora flunked out, basically because of a pair of zeros against the Cowboys.

Now a zero in my system is very rare. It doesn't just mean no sack, it means no outstanding defensive play of any kind ... force against the pass or against the run, tackle near the line, even enough penetration to blow up a play. All those get a check mark of some kind. But Flozell held Osi to nothing. So I looked at him more closely, or rather, at his opponents.

the rest
Jason Taylor of Miami. Zero. Huh? I know he's been beaten up this year, but a zero for Jason? I'd never seen that. Rosevelt Colvin of the Patriots. Zero. Andre Carter of Washington. Zero. Schobel of Buffalo, a single force. Cole of Philly, who's a good active rusher, two tackles on running plays. I had found the rarest commodity of all, an offensive tackle, which are just so difficult to come by these days. And I didn't even do a grading on Flozell, his drive blocking, etc. Just the guys he faced.

He cost us 50 yards on penalties all year long.

How many yards in sacks did he save us from?
50 yards? Thats not factually true

he had 8 false starts
he had 5 holdings

Thats 90 yards not counting his playoff key one. Thats actually less than it felt like.

Can't hit what you can't touch. Go to 3:00 in clip and see what he did to corner then safety!

Most sites have him at 5'9" 166 pounds ..... Terry Glenn is 5'11" 195 pounds.

Do the math kid ...... its as easy as 18 and 1 ;)

Who cares about what SITES have him as, at the COMBINE when he OFFICIALLY weighed in he has 169, basically 170, Steve Smith SAME HEIGHT weighed 180, you KEEP comparign him to Terry Glenn's height and weight when we bring up Steve Smith or Wes Welker who are MORE COMPARABLE since they are the SAME HEIGHT and TAKE OVER Games in the NFL!
Toughest hitting division in football, WHO CARES, you are gonna sit here and tell me if we had Wes Welker or Steve Smith that the toughest division in football is gonna matter with them?
NO!
They'll get open and MAKE PLAYS, same with Jackson!
To keep comparing his height and weight to Terry Glenn when he should be compared to Steve Smith and Wes Welker since he's there same height is just ******** and tells me you're really REACHING.

Does it matter? A drive killer's a drive killer! Also I guess by Jethro giving Flo all that money shows the confidence they have in their back ups.

BTW nice face, I think it shows your true personality.:p:

Good Lord thats hard to read

"On a day where skill position players (QBs, RBs and WRs) held press conferences and talked with the media, Jackson entered the room and declared that he measured in at 5-foot-9, 167 pounds."

I think the kid is too light to make it in the NFL as a 1st or second string.

I may be wrong ..... but I would not risk a 1st rounder on a 166 pound kid.

too many red flags

"Due to a violation of team rules Cal wide receiver DeSean Jackson will not start the Armed Forces Bowl against Air Force."

"Jackson suffered several minor injuries that limited his effectiveness at times during the season along with a right thigh injury that forced him to miss most of the game against Washington and the Big Game against Stanford. He also missed the first quarter of the 2007 Armed Forces Bowl for violating undisclosed team rules."

I have stated before ..... I think the kid is a phenomenal talent. But I would rather regret not spending a first round pick on him than regretting wasting one on him.

I hope he proves me wrong and becomes the next Steve Smith.

I'm not a cap genius, i'm wondering if you can throw a huge signing bonus at someone and kick them with a very generous, cap friendly hit for the first year or 2?

Anyone with knowledge on that?

Not only that but a penalty doesnt risk injury to Romo. Ill take a few penalties over a few sacks.

Lets get past the misfact of 50 penalty yards for FLO

It was closer to 100 per NFL.com

I believe when Jerry was talking about his WOW player he clarified and said adding juice to the offense, which is speed. Thats why Walker and even Moss names are out.

I wouldn't classify Walker, who was just cut and has been injured, as a WOW player. The only FA out there now is Moss, and he seems like a longshot, but who knows? If not him then it'd have to be someone in the draft. Of course it could just be that we wanted to add a WOW player but didn't actually have anyone in particular in mind.

The original stat was for false starts ..... which is what was being discussed.

Keep up.

I think its gonna come from the draft. And I think that was Jerry's intent all along.
