So who returns punts now... Beasley or Dez?

I don't see what ST value Beasley offers other than returning punts so does he return them or does the team still roll with Dez?

Discuss.

I feel like someone could destroy Beasley on PR. He needs to put on a little weight. Scratch that, he needs to put on a little weight for more than just punt returns. His size worries me. I feel like a mother.

idk i might roll with dez vs giants. We don't need any muffs. Or is beasley a natural back there?

At the same time though he's a guy that can wiggle in some tight lanes. It will be interesting to see how they use him on ST.

He muffed some in TC practices but he hasn't muffed one at all in preseason.

Harris and Bryant. Harris might get all the returns against New York since Dez is coming back from his injury. But unless he shows the ability to break one, Bryant will likely get his chances when teams are punting from deep in their territory.

He can still do that with an extra 10-15 lbs. He looks short and that works to his advantage.

so says the guy named "minimalist". ;)

I know that our playmakers should be put in position to make plays but I'm honestly scared to have Dez back there. It seems like he's really starting to catch on and I don't want to see him hurt all year.

+1
If he had to do it, i would only put him in as a situational punt returner.

DeSean Jackson weighs 175lbs and I think he was more like 160LBS in his rookie year. He has no problem returning punts.

I'd play Beasley on punt returns. He seemed confident & slippery there. Plus it gives him a job on Special teams, which he needs. Also keeps Dez protected. If they want to let Dez return the do-or-die clutch plays, fine... otherwise save him for his primary role.

That's a good point. Thanks for making me look like an ***. :D

Needs to be someone bigger in my opinion, let Harris do it. I don't want Dez back there at all.

We don't even know yet if he's going to dress to start the season so.....

To avoid risking him to injury. I'm hoping Dez will be used on special occasions in big games.
