I'd almost give the nod to Davis because he knows the players around him. I'd also say that Watkins by week 6 if it takes that long.

Davis starts the entire season. Watkins' playing time in the nickel and dime packages increases as the season progresses.

He will make this team and I would go as far to say that he will be starting by midseason. He's big, tall, fast, covers alot of ground in a hurry and does not get beat deep. He's a fluid athlete and he's not afraid to hit. After Huff he was the safety that I wanted Dallas to get. He's exactly the centerfielder we needed patrolling the deep middle.

Watkins is allready better in coverage than Davis.

Davis is a better hitter, but its not like Watkins cant tackle because his stats prove other wise.

Something tells me Coleman is this years Izell Reese anyways.


Im gonna go ahead and say that Watkins will be starting by the 5th game.

I truly believe that hes gonna be a ballhawk.

I can't claim to understand all the differences between playing SS and FS, but would it be possible for the Cowboys to see Beriault at FS? He seemed to have good range and a nose for the ball in the limited action he saw in last year's preseason.

I think Keith Davis gets moved to backup SS by midseason. Beriault surprises and starts at FS midseason. Watkins comes on strong and finishes the season at FS. Hahaha...that's my convoluted prediction...

oh yes...one more prediction...coleman is released early in the season...
