Maybe base 4-3 for the rest of the year. Sort of like a nickel defense since we're short on NT and Safety and we have smallish ILBs. This just might force us to blitz more to stop the run and leave our CBs on an island to cover. That might not be the worst thing in the world.

It makes me think about our defense under Zimmer when we were #1 overall for a good stretch of the season. This time though, we'll have better players on the field overall.

You didn't answer my question ole buddy but I will answer your's. Yes and no.
No because there isn't time to get the guys prepared for the transition.

Yes because Ware is a beast and he can play DE in a 4-3, Crawford was a DE in a 4-3, and Spencer could play it as well if it came down to it. That gives you 7 potential lineman with Spencer being the only question mark in that scenario. It can be done but will it work or can they adjust to it is the biggest question mark...
