And i say we keep him out, we maybe only win 2 more games...which is great

we will get a very high draft pick, and may be able too get rid of our FS

or maybe with that pick we can trade for 1....and trade Roy and barber..if we still want too go down that road

i say tell romo too take the season off...tank the rest of the season..lets be real...if romo comes back we maybe win 5 or 6 more games...and why? so we can have a mid round pick? screw that

Romo goes on IR only if the injury won't heal by the end of the season not to tank the season. I will say I'd prefer they IR him so he'll be 100% for next season.

no unless i was told, which i i know wont happen

that we win out, and make the playoffs...then yes..why win? So when april comes around we are sitting around crying

"come on jerry! make a move! move up and get _______"

NO! i dont want too hope n pray, we get the best available player, if jerry has too force a move! I rather it be right there for the taking

just like with Dez, we were hoping and praying he fell too us

I am. I hope they lose every game and have the #1 pick in the draft. During some meaningless game that is close, I'll find myself rooting for the Cowboys to win, but regardless, they're much better off losing since the season, the coaching staff, and many of the players are finished anyway. If that makes you a better fan, more power to you, chief.

Would the Cowboys in 1988 have been better off to have won one more meaningless game and missed out on Troy Aikman and picked Mandarich instead? Would the Colts in '97 have been better off to have won a few more games and ended up with Ryan Leaf? Would the Cavs have been better off with a few less ping pong balls and missed out on Lebron James (or whatever they used back then)?

Sometimes, hitting rock bottom is best. This is one of those times.

exactly!

if i am not a fan anymore by your definition, because i want my team too be in the best position next season, instead of trying too win meaningless games right now....then damn, thats what i am

I'll never root for the Cowboys to lose but I won't be upset if it happens and end up with the #1 pick. :D

i like the way u think :)

You still want to win. But at this point, you put the younger guys in that you see being with this team for the long haul. See what they've got and develop them. Guys like barber, l. davis, columbo, and brooking have no future with this team. They are are on the decline so why have them take reps from the younger, more promising players?

Hopefully sean lee or jason williams will come around with more playing time and be a solid starter for this team next year. We need another inside linebacker and we'd be a lot better off to find out what these guys have rather than drafting another one next year. If neither one of them show us anything, than draft an inside linebacker next year.

Get the young guys out there and develop them. We have no shot at making the playoffs so why not

Better yet, I think this team should try harder; who knows, might even make the playoffs.

It's all about getting tougher as times get harder, not just giving up. If they give up, they weren't championship calibre anyway.

The first pick is way too expensive, Id rather have the 3rd or 4th pick.

If the difference between 6-10 and 3-13 is 10 draft spots, what do you hope?

I am with you on this as well. Just like with betting, it doesn't matter what we root for, what is gonna happen is gonna happen. I don't think we finish with the worst record, but could see with the schedule, us having a top 5 pick. That also means we have a pick in the 33-37 range as well, and could address 2 spots. I also think that this is not a typically bad top 5 drafting team. It would have to be attractive to a coach to come in with 2 high draft picks, and a "talented" roster. Most of the time a top 5 picking team is pretty well void of talent.

Exactly! I want to see who has heart, who is ready to dig down deep and not accept losing, and who on this team can be a leader. I do not want anyone on my team or staff who has a goal of losing! I think finding those people and hardening them is of more value than the potential few spots in the draft we can move up by losing a couple of games that we gut out and win.

I agree under current scales, but I expect there will be some sort of rookie salary cap come out of this Labor deal.

Playoff are impossible. We saw how bad our defense truly is last night. Plus, the giants relaxed which is the only reason we were able to start moving it on offense. Kitna has no shot behind this line

That is a really good point. At least now I have something to cheer for, the 1st pick in the draft.

Makes no sense to bring him back with only a couple of games to go.
