so watching the events unfold tonight I'm wondering if Jax has himself taken out. Having the unwritten bylaw taken out and the preview for next week that is my prediction

I can't believe it's almost over. Not going to make any predictions about the finale except I'll record it and watch at least a couple of times. At least there is a new series coming next year from Sutter that I'm excited about. I lived thru The Shield series finale and I will live thru next week also.

This is going to be a hard ending. I was cool with the Sopranos ending and even Entourage ending but this one is going to bother me a bit I can tell. There was a Calmess in this episode and especially when Juice got his and Gemma got hers. I do like the father/son dynamic of Nero and Jax. I feel like Nero has seen the destruction of Gemma and relates that to his sons mother.

Cool that Chiklis had the walk-on part this week, though.

Holy cow..I hadn't heard Sutter was doing another pilot. 1300's England...with Hunnam possibly working with him again? I'm in. It actually sounds awesome what little has been released about it.

I am so fired up to see how this ends but depending on how they go about it I'm either going to be completely satisfied with how they tied the whole show up or I'm going to be pissed beyond belief.

I'm of the belief that there is no way that Jax doesn't die. I know he's going to and he's going to have to. Which I'm fine with. Depending on how they do it is going to be the kicker.

If this show ends with his own club agreeing to vote to Mayhem him I'm going to be pissed beyond belief. There is no way they can logically, or coherently, explain it to where you are going to make me believe his club members are going to agree to go along with it.

So either Jax kills himself (possibly in a motorcycle wreck like his father which they've teased through out this entire shows history and especially in the season) or his guys refuse to vote the Mayhem and they're all killed because they won't go with it.

SPOILER...kinda

I'm willing to bet that the series ends with Jax on his bike, riding alone, and a truck coming at him in the other lane. It fades to black and we are unsure whether he lives or kills himself like his father did.

If that happens I'm going to be pissed lol

I hate to be that guy, but I'm glad this show is coming to an end. Another in a long line of shows that started off really well but probably should have been around for only 4-5 seasons total.

Chiklis was the last member from the Strike Team (The Shield) team to make an appearance in the series.

Shooting for the new series begins in the spring I believe. Sutter hired the SOA director and Katy Segal will be in it also.

It did get spotty the last two seasons, but there still have been some great episodes. Overall, I think the seasons were worthwhile, but after Opie went out things definitely did get dicier for me, too.

It did overstay its welcome.

It's not that it overstayed it's welcome...it's that the show isn't what it was 6 years ago or whatever.

Jax has moved from a family man into a ruthless killer. There's nothing left to root for, so to speak.

The moving of Jax to that ruthless killer is the only way they could go with the deaths that he's suffered around him. The deaths of Opie and Tara have left him with no one who could possibly be his rock to keep him focused on not being that ruthless character.

That's some of my favorite stuff about the show. Inside of him is still the guy who wants to do the right things but it's simply never going to happen that way for him in the life that he's lived in his entire life. For example in season 5 and 6 when for the most part he's ruthlessly killing people because of his loss of his best friend he still had the good man inside of him that was going to take the fall, go to jail, and let Tara get the children out of there and get his club free of all issues.

Only to have to watch in horror as it all falls apart because he comes home and someone has brutally killed his wife. The last person he had that ever kept him thinking about good, rather than bad.

The perfect line for that happened in this season when he's asked about how the last time he was talked to it was all about his vision for how to get the club away from all the things that were killing it and he responds with "I don't have a vision anymore."

I loved it.

I agree. Dexter was another that went about 3-4 season too long.

The only really weak season for me was the one in Ireland.

Jax has become worse than Walter from BB and even he left on sort of a good note. So I agree there's nothing or no one left to root for.

Nailed it and I'm extremely disappointed
