Sober driver arrested for OWI when deputy crashes into her car

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — A Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Deputy rolls through a stop sign and causes a violent crash. So why was the victim placed under arrest?

A FOX6 Investigation finds that a deputy’s changing story may have changed one woman’s life forever.

Tanya Weyker was hurt so badly, she couldn’t blow into a breath-testing device or perform field sobriety tests. But a Sheriff’s deputy arrested her for drunk driving anyway. And the County hung those charges over her head for nearly a year, even long after blood tests proved she was perfectly sober.

Tanya Weyker remembers it clearly. Not just the crash that broke her neck in four places, but the false accusations that followed.

“My reputation is everything to me,” she said.

Quiles should be arrested for filing a false police report also.

Important Unimportant notes:

  • Tanya Weyker is pretty cute.
  • This excerpt from the article was really cheesy
At 95 pounds, Tanya Weyker may look like a pushover, but don’t be fooled. After all, her spine is made of steel.

Something Similar happened here in Albuquerque a few months ago. Police here have a very bad habit of turning on their lights when they come to a stop light or stop sign because they simply don't want to stop and weight. An officer here did that at about 10 in the evening and hit an SUV, who actually had the green light, and killed the driver. The police tried to say that it was the drivers fault for failing to yield to the Officer but once the dash cams were finally produced, it was learned that the officer was not in pursuit, was not responding and had only turned on his lights at the very last minute.

Family has brought suit and they will win but it will never bring their Daughter back. Really, really unfortunate for those poor people.

I figured you would have a story about a New Mexico incident.

An Albuquerque Police Department officer was involved in a car crash that killed another driver early Sunday, police said.
Investigators said the crash happened at Paseo del Norte and Eagle Ranch Road just before 2 a.m. Sunday.
Police said an officer was responding to a call when his SUV slammed into another vehicle, killing 21-year-old Ashley Browder and injuring her younger sister.

"It wasn’t a pursuit, but I think he was trying to attempt to locate what had been reported. I don’t know if he saw a vehicle or if it had been reported that a possible drunken driver (was) in the area," said Tyler
