Alright, what the hell us up with the 10 yard cushions on 3rd and 12. Not to mention the soft zone with 4 rushers. I honestly feel more comfortable when the other team has a 3rd and 4 opposed to having 3rd and long. We HAVE to lead the league in 3rd and long conversions..right!? It seems like they convert almost every time. It needs to be taken care of. My heart can't take it anymore!

I hear ya....this has been going on for a couple of years now, and everytime we get someone in 3rd and long it just seems that we allow a conversion.

This may not play out as being true if someone goes and looks at the facts, but then again it may be.

I'm sick of seeing it as well.

It also seems that we are terrible on defense on the first drive of each half...I don't look forward to the first drive of each half needless to say.

However, they ARE getting the job done....especially when the job is to come out of the game with a "W".

The completion against Newman was on Brooking. The LBs are supposed to drop off and take away all throws to the sidelines while the CB is pretty much like a FS taking away the deep ball. Brooking didn't get deep enough and gave up the underneath throw. It was also a perfectly thrown ball.

But I agree with you that sometimes we're better on 3rd and 4 than on 3rd and 10. Wade is almost guaranteed to blitz and play tight coverage on 3rd and medium. And he's almost guaranteed to rush only 4 on 3rd and 10 and above.

It was getting to me at times to.

But you have to realize it a key was part of the strategy that kept them from hitting even one big play against us.

The only one I had a problem with was when Jenkins was playing 10 yards off their TE who lined up as a WR. That was a little over the top.

Our goal was to take away the big play, since that's the only way the Eagles can score. You can't play tight coverage AND take away the big play at the same time. McNabb is not very accurate on those underneath throws, so it worked to our advantage.

Good point. Let Mcnabbs accuracy shoot himself in the foot. Looks like that's how you beat this offense..

You have to mix up coverage. We've been doing an excellent job of that week in and week out for a while now.

Great playcalling by Wade so far this season.

Dont let collinsworths two bit analysis twist your perception of reality. We do not have a coverage problem. We were playing an explosive offense and we wanted to minimize the blast radius.

It worked for us today. All season all Eagles have not demonstrate the ability to march the ball down field on long drives. We knew that and MADE them earn their yards. Also we tackled fairly well today with a few good hits on their WRs.

I want to nit pick, but holding the Eagles to 16.... Bravo! We will win most of those.
