Yes, and u know as well as anyone that we dismantled them for 57 minutes even though we employed the 'play not to lose' game plan (review the game... score should have been 28-0)... and had we not 'played not to lose', we would have destroyed them just the same as the eagles. That was coaches gameplanning / playcalling that let the Foreskins hang around... step on the neck (as we have the talent to do - obviously) and we win decisively.

The same plan was employed in Oakland (coaches: "hmm, OAK has the 31st ranked Pass D, top 10 run D... OK, let's go with the "run-first,ray2: 'pray we don't lose' gameplan"... duh?!) & SF (not a bad win considering we spotted them 18 points to make it interesting, but still would not have been close had we started the game with an agressive gameplan.)

The coaches and early gameplans (1-4) handcuffed us, and now the handcuffs are off. Talent, aggression and desire win games fellas... and we have a ton of each!

IF the 70's / 90's cowboys fans could hear some of you now... uke:

I think Dallas can beat the giants but no one knows what may happen between the giants game and Seattle. What kind of injuries may we end up with after that game and how may that effect us heading into Seattle. That is why I deal with one game at a time as for your 70'/90's fan buddy some of us been supporting this team since the 60's and I'd tell you the same thing then as I would now 1 game at a time. Every time we win a game some want to get way ahead of themselves.

Just making a point that just because someone on a message board says we will win this game and that game and then be in first place...does not mean it will happen.

Mark my words... I'll leave it at that. We'll revisit this thread at the bye.

I imagine you have the capability of being a Cowboy fan that expects consistent greatness. Is it not more fun to expect victory?

This is '91 all over again (with a chance of winning it all THIS YEAR due to increased parity)... we are positioned for greatness. I will tow the line until we once again have a majority of diehard faithful that believe WINNING is a given.

I think we could be 6-2, but probably find a way to lose one of those games and end up 5-3.

I think at least one other NFC East team will be 5-3 at midseason, maybe even two other teams.

I love our chances in the second half of the season. I think our team should do very well in bad climate games...our QB is used to playing up north as are two of our WRs, and Julius seems to be running like a back that would play well in bad climate.

Hang on for the ride, it will be fun.

This is what we did to get to 3-2.
Now really. Who would have thought we would have lost to both the Skins and Raiders. Not many.
I thought this would have ended up with this record with winning the three middle games and taking it on the chin vs San Diego and Philly.

Nothing is easy as it seems. That is why they play the games.

I am apparently way ahead of myself after dumbly coached losses too (before Philly - on record predicting a 33-17 Cowboy destruction of the Eagles)

BTW: my original post began by stating that by winning THIS weekend, we will be in sole possession of 1st. The rest will take care of itself... after Sunday you will be predicting victory in Seattle just like you did vs. NY - then we are all on the same page (unless u think we will lose to AZ : )

Don't laugh AZ has given Dallas a rough time over the years and that is a game where Dallas will be looking at the bye the following weekend. I'll grant you I look at every game as winnable but to win you have to play good football as well as playing smart football.

I'm the same way, Thanksgiving is time of the year where I start looking at the Cowboys possibilities of playoffs or not
