Solomon Thomas on DC Matt Eberflus' scheme

dude when did prescott start working out dude got swole, lol dude could be his twin brother lol ,:muttley:

but on a serious note this is a really good player still got some tread left on his tires I like him he'll be able to either give us a break here and there or they can line up next to each other on passing situations and create havoc he's a good player no one's saying he's elite tier one free agent but this is no throwaway like Elon might be you know like a camp body...

Wow! Do they have a successful offensive scheme to “turn off the brain.” If so, sleep number should be in this scheme. He wouldn’t have to do anything because his brain is never turned on.

He's a nice signing. The haters can't stand to give any kudos to the brass, but it's true.
Depends on perspective. 3.5 sacks and 26 tackles isn't great production for a pass-rushing DT. But Thomas was signed to be a player who rotates in, not as a 3-tech stud. Odighizuwa got very good-level DT money. He's not a 3-tech stud, either, but he's a solid player. I still hope we look for a stud in the draft.

" the scheme turns off the brain"

Are we supposed to think a scheme that lobotomizes players is a good thing?

Or that players that want to play lobotomized are the players you want?

It sounds like a throwback to Marinelli's "we keep it dumb to maximize execution, and then blame the players for lack of execution when a smart team runs circles around us".

I know he hasn’t lived up to the hype. Was a fan of his at Stanford. Hopefully coming home to Texas helps him light it up
I think he’s the best player we’ve signed so far. He won’t be in on obvious run downs but he, next to Osa makes doubling Micah a bit harder. If Sam Williams is healthy and takes another step up we could have a realky goid pass rush. But we need to add a big fatty at DT at some point or sign one

It means you know the system so well, your instincts take over and you automatically know what to do.

What is so hard to understand about that?
That's a partial context, not a full context.

The other side of the pancake is still there even when you pretend it doesn't exist.

Come on. What's the other side of the pancake?

We saw it with Kiffinelli. We know what it is. We know the results.
