Well we have all been pretty open about what went wrong or why we have lost...

Perhaps now is a good time to start offering our thoughts on things we can improve and how to do exactly that...

I think for our team to weather the storm on offense that we must make the Defense more Doomsday like!

I think our early downs 3-4 has been pretty effective overall and while our 3rd down D has been much better % wise, we still lack the "Knock out punch" ability that we need to be able to put away teams...

I think, by playing our predictable nickle downs defense (4-2-5) that it fails to: HURT the QB....

We have increased our sack production of course so far, but I think this D has so much more potential for creating havouc & Turnovers that produce scores!

Shanles pressure & James sack do prove that we can be effecitive doing this...But I think of the 2, James is a better & stronger blitzer...While Shanle, even though he got beat for that TD, is still better in coverage vs blitzing...

I also think we need to get Burnett some PT in the nickle blitzing using his outstanding quickness & athletic ability...Remember, we want to score on D!

With Ware creating so much pressure from the outside & his quickness we need to do more stunts inside to create instant pressure on a QB & RB even on running downs!

I liked the Roy blitz at the end, but it wasn't timed perfect and came outside, taking too long...

I like bump & run during blitz situations or 3rd & short...
Henry, Newman & even Glenn are all very good CB's, but we have forced them to cover too long by being predictable rushing 4 all the time (95%)...

Spears, Rat man, Ellis & Glover are all Quick & strong Dlinemen as well, they could do more stunts for hard pushes inside...While everyone else still has contain responsibilities...

If we can just do those things we should get 2 scores per game!

On offense now everyone knows our weaknesses (Oline) so we must do more of what they can do best...Run blocking!

Even though Pettite and Tucker aren't great pass blockers, the whole offense would become better getting a more smash mouth attitude...

I would feature more lineups with 2 TE's but Witten split wide with Key as the other WR...Campbell on the LOS...

I have liked what I have seen from Polite as a lead blocker and think more lead draws and kickout plays would be more effective...

A-Train while a steady tough vet, just doesn't have the quickness anymore to break any over 10 yard runs....I would still use him some as a blitz pickup guy at times on nickle downs when were going deep...

we really needs a healthy JJ back...He can turn a nice hole into a score...
Getting back the back that can take it the distance would also open up more play action to Witten up the seam...

Sorry guys but I just think Gurode makes the better C with what we NEED to do on offense now...Johnson still needs much more strength to be effective in this type of offense...

Shoots lets slam JJ, MBIII & TT at the D & then work more play action passing into the gameplan!

I think were also due at break one the distance on KO return with TT...
While I like Prices quickness better as a punt returner, he needs to also run lower or will not last long at that VERY tough position to play!

So by putting less pressure on the O, I think we can turn someweaknesses into advantages and WINS!

Its still a young season & I have confidence in the players we have and most of our coaches...

We can still win the most improtant game...

The last one!

This defense needs a mean, slobbering, rip your head off and make you like it linebacker, or in other words, an identity.
That's what I'd LIKE it to have anyway.

I have a feeling that Fujita is going to be an impact player very soon.

And Bradie James is starting to play with confidence.

Those two guys could be the difference between being a good defense and a great defense.

Whatever we are doing late in the game has to be thrown out. Its like night and day how they play.

My observation is we send only 4 and sit back. The ol prevent philosophy. And get riddled. Week after week......We could easily be 6-1

Skins, Seahawks we gave games away.
