the skins also don't have a Devin Hester. to all the people talking about Bob Sanders: he is a very good player. but he hasn't even made it through a full season without getting hurtEndGame;1731549 said:One of the many local Commanders fans told me the other day that, "The Pats haven't faced a defense like the Commanders this season". I'll grant the Skins that their defense is playing well. They are ranked #1 after all, but I reminded the guy that the offense stinks. He pointed out that the Bears offense stunk last season too. Sorry, Washington ... this Commanders team's defense isn't half as good as the Bears' D was last season. And, this New England team has a pretty damned good defense too.
Setting the defenses aside, though ... here are some hysterical statistics about the Skins and Pats this weekend:
Number of TDs thrown by Jason Campbell this season: 5
Number of TDs thrown by Tom Brady last weekend: 6
Number of TDs thrown by Tom Brady this season: 27
Number of TDs of any kind by the Commanders: 14
Total number of Jason Campbell TDs to Commanders WRs this season: 0
My prediction for the game:
Pats: 35
Skins: 7
The Skins will keep the Pats from scoring 50 on them, but it won't matter ... since they themselves will only get a garbage time TD.

VACowboy;1731598 said:The Skins are ranked #5 defensively. Dallas, #7. 19 is the difference in yards per game given up by the respective clubs, the stat on which the NFL's defensive rankings are based. The truth of the matter is, Dallas gives up less yardage per play than Washington, 4.8 and 5, respectively.
VACowboy;1731598 said:The Skins give up 3.5 yards per rush; The Cowboys come in at a tenth of a yard more, 3.6. The touted Commander secondary allows its opponents to complete 59.6% of their passes. The much maligned Cowboys, 58%.
VACowboy;1731598 said:Dallas is tied for first in the league in interceptions while Washington ranks eighth.
VACowboy;1731598 said:Lastly, Dallas has the #2 defense and #1 offense in the NFC. The Skins, #1 and #12.
Statistically speaking, who impresses YOU more?

VACowboy;1731672 said:I've seen all the Skins' games too, and their defense does look good. They look a lot beteer than we do, IMHO. The difference is, we've given up a lot more TD passes than they have. Third-down percentage is also an issue. The Washington D gets off the field 8% more often on third down than we do.

here's another area where you can start at, 2.5, that's our lead over you guys in the East

It's not great, but it's pretty good. I think ours will be better by the end of the year. We'll finally have our secondary healthy, and Tank will provide some much needed depth at NT.
Plus, we're getting more and more comfortable in Wade's system.

Joe Gibbs' bust in the HOF is made of a bronze stand and a plastic head painted with bronze paint.
RedStink cheerleaders work during the day and after hours at a strip clubs, and some work the night shift at a shady street corner.
Lil Danny bought Six Flags so HE could go ride the "over 5 foot" rides too.
The fans known as the "Hogs" don't just dress up for games like that, that's how they REALLY look in everyday life.
The RedStinks are the only team in the NFL that has a little Jr. High School Marching Band.
RedStink fans have the highest "***** envy" towards the Dallas Cowboys than any other team, in any sport.
