Some Cowboys games are still fun to watch

I know a lot of us get down about our team's lack of playoff success, but that doesn't mean there aren't some fun moments week to week.

I stumbled across a 2014 game at Seattle, when the Seahawks coming off their Super Bowl victory were 3-1 and we were 4-1. Seattle had lost only 1 game at home in its last 21 (or 41), had not given up a 100-yard rusher all season (or even a 40-yard rusher) and on top of that our defense had not been great against the run and Seattle was a strong running team.

We handicapped ourselves in this one by giving up a blocked punt for a TD and Dwayne Harris muffing a punt that resulted in a TD. On top of that we had a bad snap in that loud environment that resulted in a turnover and Seattle field goal.

As much as Rod Marinelli has been maligned on here, his group of misfits and castoffs (George Selvie, Tyrone Crawford, Nick Hayden and Anthony Spencer was our starting DL) played outstanding in shutting down both Marshawn Lynch and Seattle's passing game. They were flying to the ball, getting pressure and the secondary was sticky in coverage.

DeMarco Murray not only surpassed 40 yards rushing (breaking 100 with 119), but Joseph Randle also had over 50. And Romo made a Romo play when we needed it most, spinning away from pressure, sliding to his right, directing traffic and delivering a great pass on third-and-20 on our winning TD drive. Even though it was a great pass, Terrence Williams had to go up and get it because it was thrown over Witten and a defender and Williams managed to drag his toes as he fell out of bounds (may have been the best catch of his career).

We know that season finished in disappointment, but just taken by itself, that game had all the things you want to see from your team in overcoming adversity.

No doubt we have some great games over the years. But, we also had some heartbreakers that I don't care to re-watch!

Yeah, I only pick out the victories. We've lived through enough disappointments that I'm not interested in rewatching the losses.

I still like watching the 2016 game at Pittsburgh. Have not watched it for about 3 years, maybe 4 years.
YouTube now thinks I want to watch the bobbled snap playoff loss to Seattle. How wrong that algorithm is.

Right. I never watch replays of losses.

I have a lot of the 90's wins during the SB year, and some after that on VHS. But have not watched any of those for a good 20 years. As the SB's are on you tube. But I download those to an external disk drive. Where it is, not sure. Somewhere in the back of a drawer.

The only loss I have is when Emmitt got the rushing title overtaking Walter Payton.

Lots of games from that 2014 season are fun to watch. Great team that got screwed by Gene Steratore.
