Dan Bailey passed Michael Irvin last week for 5th all time in Cowboys scoring. With this week's points he is up to 409. Next up that he should pass this year is Bob Hayes at 456 points. He could end this year in 3rd place all time for the Cowboys.

Last week DeMarco Murray moved past Felix Jones for 10th place all time in Cowboys rushing yards. If he gains 34 yards next week he will pass 3000 for his career. Next up for him in 9th place is Julius Jones at 3484. Oh yeah, as of right now he is leading the NFL in rushing and the Rams coming up next. He's only gained 428 yards against them in 2 games. If he were to only gain 15 yards this week, he'd still be on pace for 1600 on the season.

Almost forgot, we are now 4-0 against the Oilers/Titans in September.

Last week Dez Bryant passed Moose for 11th place all time in Cowboys receptions. This week he moved past Doug Cosbie and Miles Austin. So he is in 9th place all time with 307 catches. Next up is Jay Novacek at 337.

Dwayne Harris didn't have any Punt Return yards last week. His 15 this week moves him 31 yards closer to James Jones and he has passed 700 yards for his career there. He had no Kick Returns this week. He's 88 yards behind James Jones there.

Tony Romo has thrown at least 1 TD in 30 straight games. He moved out of a tie with Jim Hart for 30th place all time on the NFL List. He is now alone in 30th. 3 more and he will pass Terry Bradshaw for 29th place all time. Tony also passed 30,000 passing yards on his career and in the process moved past Randall Cunningham for 39th place all time. Next up for him is Norm Snead in 760 more yards. Easily reachable in 3 games. I think most of us would be fine if it takes 4 games and we keep running it like this.

Jason Witten passed Keenan McCardell for 16th place on the all time NFL receptions list. He now stands at 835. Next up for him is Torry Holt in the distance at 920. Maybe not this year.

Sorry if I missed it or if it was mentioned elsewhere, but didn't he just become the fastest Cowboy to reach 300 career catches?

And what about about Tony's 30k --- isn't he one of just a few UDFA's to do that? And didn't he get there fairly fast?

(thanks for the update)

One more trivia note- Dez' touchdown catch was his 41st of his career, but the 35th he's caught from Romo. Romo has now thrown more TD's to Bryant than any other player; breaking a tie with Terrell Owens.

Also, Murray's 29 carries were a career high, but I'm sure that's been noted elsewhere.

The following is a repost of something almost nobody saw, but it fits here, and I know Hos won't mind.

Against Tennessee, the Cowboys defense held the opposing QB below a 61 rating, and a Dallas RB rushed for over 150 yards. It had not happened since Dec 14, 2003 when the defense held Tim Hasselbeck to a 0 rating and Troy Hambrick rushed for 189 yards in a 27-0 win over the Commanders.

It happened six times in a five-year period in the 90s, and it's happened twice during the the 18 years since then.

Code:
2014 @Ten Murray 167 Locker 60.2
2003 @Was Hambrick 189 Hasselbeck 0.0
1996 Was Smith 155 Frerotte 52.0
1995 Phi Smith 158 Peete 26.6
1995 @NYG Smith 163 Brown 57.8
1994 NYG Smith 163 Brown 40.8
1993 Was Smith 150 Rypien 20.1
1992 Phi Smith 163 McMahon 50.8

Some good numbers re the players although the 4-0 against the Oilers/Titans in September seems random and meaningless.

You could argue that all stats and records are random and meaningless. At the end of the day they're just fun facts and nice to know.
