To several scouts Dez Bryant reminds them of Michael Irvin. who I said he looked and reminded me of too. That Dez is listed at 6-1 about 207 but is alittle heavier and sure looks taller to the media personenl then 6-1. Dez caught the ball just like Micheal Irvin would do, while pushing off just like Irvin did with one hand, while catching the ball with his other big mitt of a hand. Has better speed then you think and was beating defensive backs all day, although he was winded alittle.
Several cornerbacks looked real good today, with the best one being my pet cat McCann, who stripped 4 balls on consecutive plays, even running with Dez and after he caught the ball, knocking it out of Dez's hands. McCray looked sharp pretty well too.
On the lighter side, good ole reliable Coach Joe D had some dummies made up and put 2 linemen by them. Then he told players either to go around them or split them. Sure enough you guessed it, the players tried to run over the linemen, and Joe D let out a few fiery words and told them, thats not the way to do it, you have to get skinny and slip in between the linemen, because if you try to run over them your going to get beat up, dummies, joe d said. with a few other colorful words
Just love coach Joe D
Also he had Dez, Wall and McCann working on returning punts.
The 2 qbs Nicholls and Grace looked decent on short and medium passes, but the deep throws werent too pretty.
The rbs and fullback looked decent blocking and Miler looks the best with a burst.
Old coach campo was at it, because wall was getting beaten on plays pretty badly, so he had wall come out and watch and learn, while campo told him some things, sure enough when wall went back in he played with fire, determination and played pretty good in coverage.
