We are 7th in the league, allowing 19.0 points a game.

20th in yards allowed per game with 336.5.

6th in 3rd down percentage, giving up the first 35 percent of the time....

With that being said, I think our defense is much better than these numbers indicate. I know a lot of people will say if you throw out the first 2 games it is a different story, but then again, a lot of teams can say throw out this game or that game and the numbers are way different. Bottom line, our defense is better than the rankings, and getting better as the season goes on!!!!

All that matters is that the defense is getting better and still not hitting on all cylinders.

The only thing I really don't like is when they show they're playing 10 yards off the receivers with 15 seconds on the playclock.

I'd like to mix things up more.

Show off coverage and then move up to bump while the quarterback is calling out signals after scanning the defense. Sometimes do the opposite, sometimes show and stay with whatever we come out in.

Make the quarterback think about what he's seeing every play.

Defense still has a lot of upside with guys like Spencer and Mike Jenkins getting better each and every week.

Just as long as they are the best D on the field on gameday... nothing else matters

I can live with a bend but don't break defense. I'm happy as long as the ppg stays relatively low.

The yards allowed is not an indicator - the Commanders rank #5, yet they've won 2 games.

Points allowed is the indicator. Allow less points = win.

yards are decieving since teams who score loads on bad teams will start running the ball rather than passing it.

and when your team is up your opponent is passing more often trying to come back from behind.

I agree!

Throw out 2 or 3 plays....we are.....8-0......doesn't mean crap....you win...or you...lose...bottom line.

However we are 6 - 2 and 1st in the division, just right where I thought we would be at this point...I will take it with no problems.

Did not happen the way I thought, but that's ok, it does not matter...we are in control.
