Some draft scattershot

I think Campbell and Membou go ahead of us. I dont think Banks will be viewed that highly as an OT. Simmons is a real wild card there though. Best OT in this class when he was healthy. There have good leaks on his medicals, but what information teams have is whats going to matter

It will actually be interesting to see how much interest the Cowboys have in Simmons. Could say alot about Guyton
I agree, almost all view Simmons as the top tackle in the class prior to the injury. He reportedly got medical clearance that he would be good to go for camp. I don't think the Cowboys will give up on Guyton so soon, but that doesn't mean Steele is safe.

With all this being said, a team like the Chiefs after what just happened in the SB, they may offer you a future 1 for the best tackle in the class. Other teams could also be interested as it always a position in need.

Moving down that far could be ideal. It gives you an opportunity to add and 2026 1st as well as another day 2 this year.

Who would you target that deep in the 1st?

- The #1 priority of this draft should be to land a 2026 day 1 pick. Thats where the real value is. Id take an 2026 1st over a 2025 2nd any day of the week. From our position, that is very attainable. The #2 QB being there, or a 3rd QB being targeted at that spot is the key.

- Shemar Stewart is very interesting to me. I don't really see a raw football player, just a raw rusher. That can be coached. The warning is the same statement was said about K'lavon Chaisson back in 2020. What is interesting about Stewart to me is he can be a player who can attack from every spot on the line if he can develop a pass rush plan.

- I have a hard time seeing us going WR day 2, but if we do I hope its Becht or Royals. Royals small school pedigree worries me, but I think he has the talent to develop into a versitile #2

- I really dont love this OL draft. Campbell wont be there. Although a better prospect than Guyton, Membou has only played RT. Banks might be a better OG. Simmons is knee is a concern that high.I dont necessarily hate OL at 12, but I dont love it either. The OL move that would excite would be Zabel at 44 if he is there. That would really strengthen the interior. Gun to my head OL pick at 12 would be Membou because I do think he has RT ability. However he could even go higher than Campbell

- I think the 3rd and 4th round are going to have major runs at HB. Like ridiculous runs. Especially if players like Damien Martinez are being talk of as day 2 guys. . I could see it starting to dry up by our 5th. Where that works for is is pushing players at other positions down.

- Tyleik Williams is a guy Im eyeing at 44. Mocked alot in the 1st, but I think its possible he falls behind more penetrative players on draft day. I see Grant as a potential Daron Payne and Williams as a potential Dalvin Tomlinson. I can see a potential Dalvin Tomlinson being undervalued in this DT class.
Simmons is a stud....if Jeanty and T Mac are off the board...this is the guy we roll with. I don't trust Guyton on the left side. Keeping #4 off the injured list should be our #1 priority. We have seen our season is over once our starter goes down.

I have serious doubts after people were questioning his mental makeup and he was a healthy scratch after coming back.
I have some serious concerns. Hell, even McCarthy questioned his heart and work ethic a bit. So yeah, his rookie year was a bit disappointing, but there is too much invested to not give him another year or two when a decision on the 5th-year option is close.

Funny, you are saying this ......The Browns have started 11 different QBs under their current HC. Read a couple of nuggets, they may have 2 options
* Call the take Ward if the Titans pass ( their GM saying no way they are trading to 1st overall)
* If they miss on Ward ( could get sneaky )...... take Hunter and trade back into the first before the Steelers 21st and take Sanders. Just so happens there is a clip of Sanders and Hunter talking about the possibility of them becoming NFL teammates. This is defe one to keep an eye IMO.

You are assuming Giants/Raiders pass on Sanders which is highly unlikely.

Thing is, everything is still in play: could take one of those corners coming back from injury in Revel or Morrison, might have Ebuka still available, could one of those DT's be there like a Grant or a Nolen? Even could consider taking Hampton if still there.

Point is, it opens up a lot of possibilities. I wonder if the Texans would also be one of those teams who would want to secure Simmons.

Last year could wind up looking bad if Guyton busts. We passed on Xavier Worthy. If Guyton busts, Id take Worthy over Beebe. Thats the risk of trading down. I think people discount that too much
Worthy, that is in trouble with the law. Could you imagine if he was a Cowboy.
1st, in KC and the NFL, seems it was swept under the rug.
2nd, if he was in Dallas, he would get a 6 game suspension, it is automatic. Even when innocent.
3rd, fans here disregard it, him being in KC, but if a Cowboy, wow, some would want him hanged before the trial.

People keep pushing that "Goodall out to get us" narrative based on Elliott 8 years ago

I madde a thread last week. If Sanders is sitting there at #12. Steelers will trade up to sleet him.
Dallas can get a 2026 1st round from it.

If Dallas has to give up a 2025 2nd, gets Steelers 2025 1st, 2026 1st, and say a Steelers 2025 3rd or 4th would be a great deal.
Especially if many are not expecting Dallas to make the playoffs this year.

I know there is a lot of chatter about the Giants will STILL draft Sanders 3rd overall, but I'm not buying that AT ALL. Remember, Stafford left money on the table from the Giants to resign with the Rams. So I'm going by their actions, not what a lot draft gurus are saying, what THEY expect. But as with all of us....this is just my take.

You don't sign Russell Wilson, give him the kind of guaranteed money they did, AND sign Winston if you are planning to use the 3rd overall pick on Sanders.

I think it's highly unlikely Sanders stays in the top 10. I think some are underestimating the negative impact of dealing with Deion is having. Of course, we are not going to hear anything coz coaches are afraid Deion will call them out in public.

What's interesting is that when this thing started, the Browns and Jets were the two teams Deion stopped short of calling out NOT to draft Sanders. The Jets signed Fields, and it appears the Browns may be the only team left to stop Sanders from dropping to the bottom of the round or falling out.

LOL....why would they have to trade up with Dallas? I mean, who are they competing against? Every team between 12-20 has its franchise QB.

Doesn't mean he will drop. There are a few teams with question marks about their starting QB. Tua is another hit away from retirement. He could sit a year, learn behind Mayfield.

And there is a mock draft on NFL.com, Browns trading up with Atlanta to select Sanders.

Yeah, I read about the Browns ........... and I can def see that happening, giving them a chance to have both Hunter and Sanders.

Rather have a 2 this year than a 1 next year
Also trading down from 12 to 31 better bring a lot more than a 2
