I was bored this evening at work, so I was playing around with some offensive formations that would be interesting to see because of the enormous mismatches it would create. Felix Jones 1v1 with a FS? Crayton 1v1 with a LB? Yes please.
Numbers denote players. If you don't know what numbers the players are then, well, sorry.

What this formation does: It forces the secondary to heavily focus on the left side, where Miles and Bryant are. Miles is in the slot, likely being covered by the 2nd CB. The FS would have to play deep on Bryant/Austin. Williams will likely have the 1st CB alone on the right side of the field. Witten would be matched up with a LB. Felix would be matched up with a LB. Felix could get around the right edge on a toss play and have a good chance at one-on-one with the SS. I'd take that matchup any day.

What this formation does: We probably will never see this. Romo would probably die. However, if our offensive line could pass protect long enough, there's no way in hell a defense can cover these 5 skill players long enough for someone to not be WIDE open deep. This puts our most explosive players on the field at once. Hey, a guy can dream, right?

What this formation does: We might see this a little this year. It's our standard 3-WR set, with Felix Jones motioning out of the backfield to the slot on the strong-side. The speed out of the slots and vertical catching ability out wide make this a killer offensive formation, in which Jason Witten can either stay in to pass protect, or attack the middle of the field. Imagine Dez running slant Miles running a rail with Williams running a fade route (1-on-one), Witten running a streak, and Felix going for the deep out. God.
That's all for now. Can you guys come up with some?
