Right now, your offseason moves (particularly trading Brown) aren't looking that great, but that can change in a hurry. No. 2 receiver was going to be a concern even if Lemon was healthy. It's asking a lot for a rookie to replace an All-Pro, even if Brown slipped some last year.

I see Howie as one of the top 3 GM's in the NFL. My guess . . . Philthy will crash to reload on talent. If you look back at their history the last 8-9 years they have a turrible season every so often to move up to an earlier tier in the draft. Only organization I ever saw not follow this kind of algorythm is New England in the Belichick years. I saw thye Stealers always with a winning record and their talent slowly degrade over the last 20 years.

Of course there is the case of the NYgiAints who were pretty consistently drafting in the top 10 with numerous 1's and 2's and they have sucked like a vacuum for a decade. In other words as Voch Lombardi says "some teams suck at drafting". But it was more than drafting.

Ok fine. But it's dumb for the Eagles not to get assets that help right away. All they did was get worse this offseason

Maybe so. But that was probably the best deal they could get. That team starts its rebuild after an eleven win season. No sense waiting for a losing record.
