How dare you diss DeVonta Smith like that. He is without a doubt a #2. .........They traded away their #1.

I don’t know, dude… He’s pretty good… I’d say he’s a number one. I think we are spoiled by our top two WR’s.

Maybe not, but you drafted him and then traded Brown, so obviously your team is hoping he'll be the guy who can replace Brown. I mean, if Howie was counting on Hollywood Brown, Elijah Moore or Dontavyion Wicks to be that guy that doesn't seem like typical Roseman. Brown did have 49 catches for the Chiefs last year, but for less than 600 yards while A.J. had 78 for 1,003.

Hollywood might not even make that team. From what I read, he has not looked good at all…

Disagree. They drafted him and Stowers b/c they're installing a different kind of passing attack. He's, of course, not Puka Nacua, but it's that kind of versatility that intrigued them.

BTW, this should be obvious. All this stuff is just my opinion, and it's largely based on accounts from training camp, mainly from the Philadelphia Inquirer, and Jimmy Kempski, Kempski being my fave day-to-day guy out there.

Trading Brown was more of a financial decision than a football one. They couldn't pay everybody, they had some key contracts coming up, they won a SB with Brown, and got a pretty decent return.

Maybe they draft their WR 1 or WR 2 in next year's draft.

I think AJ was low-key asking to be traded… For a while… And the eagles did right by him…

They aren't rebuilding this year, especially since they acquired Greenard.

If they traded AJ Brown, Saquon, and whoever else isn't part of the future, you'd have a point. But they did the exact opposite of that.

Trading Brown isn't dumb simply because of the return. It is dumb because it is a rebuilding move that conflicts with everything else they do.

you can’t call something dumb when you don’t know the factors that were involved. The objective is to win games… disgruntled players, especially receivers, don’t exactly help push that forward. I’m just amazed that with that little leverage, they were able to get a first rounder for him… albeit a 28 first rounder.

Brown isn’t good. Kid from gb can be an option but if he’s expected to be better than your first round pick, you failed
