Anyone else see some unusual value here? It's as if they aren't taking some playoff ramifications into account.

How are we a 1.5 dog to the eagles? I'd have us as a 2-3 point choice if this game was a winner take all. Eagles will most likely be eliminated before kickoff. Hate to sound like a homer, but they are showing this team no respect. Sure we looked bad losing at home in a must game. Did the Eagles or TB look any better? But they're certainly getting plenty of benefit of doubt from the odds makers.

Min a 6.5 favorite over NYG. I don't see it. The Giants may rest some guys, but they have a history of playing hard in these spots. And they're just a much better team than Min.

I think the best value of all is St Louis +14.5 They can't be serious, Atlanta has little to play for. They're still celebrating.

I love SD outright, but 8.5 fav in a winner take all match. That's a lot of points for a 7-8 team to be giving anyone.

1. The Eagles should be the favorites. They're not the ones with a history of choking late in the season. Playoff ramifications were in it against Baltimore AT HOME in the final game of Texas Stadium and we embarassed ourselves.

2. The Giants arent playing the unbeaten Patriots. They're playing the 9-6 Vikings.

3. Atlanta can still win the division with a win and a Carolina loss @ New Orleans which is very possible.

4. The Chargers have looked elite, the Broncos just choked away a 3 game lead with 3 weeks left. They're overachievers who came back down to reality.

And also, if the Falcons lose to the Rams, Cowboys get the #5 seed if they win.

They can win their division also as Panch stated.

I missed that and it's important.

You are waaaaayyyyy off on the Cowboys/eagles analysis. They did the same dam thing we did to a worse team with nothing to play for.

Why do they get the benefit of the doubt?

You should listen to the fans here, they're far more negative than we are.

Don't underestimate the negative impact, the emotional let down of being eliminated on game day. Sure they're pros, sure they hate us, but they are human and football requires effort and emotion.
At 4:00pm Sunday, their season ends. You can't overcome that dissapointment in 15 mins.
Had they been eliminated last weekend, they could perhaps refocus and find their motivation for us. Still wouldn't be as much as if they still had a playoff shot. But it would be better than the scenario they're looking at.

Trust me, at 4:15 Sunday that team and home crowd will be flat.

Im not gonna compare the atmosphere in Philly if they would've had a shot at the playoffs, but the Philly hates us as much as they love the Eagles. Any chance they could have to knock us out of the playoffs would make their season feel a little better and Im sure McNabb, who I believe is gonna leave after this season, wants to end his time as an Eagle on a high note owning the team he's had his way with since he's came into the league.

This is not true. For most of his career the eagles have had a better team than we have. He's seldom been the deciding factor in games. In fact I'd go so far as to say he's underperformed in most of them. (relatively speaking)
Jim Johnson's defense has been the thorn in our side.

Thier fans would love to knock us out. And the longer this game stays close the more involved they will get.

But this doesn't chnage the fact that they and the team will be flat. At best eagles will be missing some fire and that's all it should take.

Couple questions for you.

Do you remember week 17 of 2005 when the Cowboys faced a similar situation? We were eliminated at 7:15 pm and had to play our last game at 8:15pm. We were a 10 point favorite against a very bad Ram team without a road win that year. Well they beat us by 14.
The team and the crowd was flat. Its human nature and practically unavoidable.

You're not telling me you think this eagle steam is better than this Cowboy team. Are you?

The difference is, we still had a realistic shot. The Eagles dont and they know a week ahead of time. Plus, we're not the Rams. We're their hated rival and we're going into Lincoln Financial. This is a true rivalry and the Eagles are going to try to play spoiler.

Overstatement.

They have a chance, its not good. But its there. That's the key. They have hope. That hope ends at 4:00pm and it will effect them.

This is in no way a stretch. I'm not the only person subscribing to this theory. It has merit.

Another major break for us is the weather. Forecast for Sat and Sun in philly is for mid 50's with little wind and a 30% chance of showers.
As I type this its 25 degrees and windy!

Hate to rain on your negative parade, but we are winning this Sunday and going to the playoffs.

Hate to rain on your positive parade, but until this team proves they can answer the challenge, which this cast of Cowboys hasnt done, they deserve to be betted against.
