Some of you seem to think we will run Philly over....

When in fact we wont likely even be favored to win by the oddsmakers. This is a game that we will lose unless we play like we did against Philly the first time or Arizona. A SD, NY, or SF performance wont get it done.

We had trouble beating the 49ers, so I'm not about to take any opponent lightly. The Eagles still are a dangerous team. They have McNabb, Westbrook, Dawkins, Trotter, some other effective players, and most importantly, a renewed sense of purpose (now that the T.O. issue has finally been resolved.) This game is a perfect chance for the Cowboys to make a statement but I'm pretty nervous about it.

Philly is too good of a team to lay down against us at home. They won a couple of games in the playoffs without TO last year.

Unlike against the Commanders they'll have had a whole week to put this whole mess behind them

I'm not nervous at all. The group of names that you just listed, we flatout overpowered the first game against them. This time we're coming off a bye and we'll be fresh and pumped to go. Plus, we're better now then we were the first time we played them. Our team has goten better and better with each game. Our D right now is OUTSTANDING. BP knows what he has and he sees it coming together. Oh yeah, we also get JJ back this week.. Stop worrying and enjoy the rapid development of our team.. Jimmy Johnson knows what he's talking about and he has us in the Super Bowl...

Sure, Dallas could lose but I will be surprised if they do.
Remember the '97 - '00 Cowboys? They still had Aikman/Irvin/Smith for the better part of those years.
Other teams used to think the same thing some are thinking of the iggles right now; they are still a dangerous team.
Problem was, and is, both of those teams had already seen their best days and had nothing left in the tank. They both still had a few stars left but the role players that made them successful were(are) gone.

I'm going out on a limb here and publicly stating that we're going to MURDER the Eagles on Monday Night for the first 58 minutes of the game.

Let's just hope our O would have a chance to build up enough of a lead to overcome our usual last 2 minute meltdown.

Cowboys 17
Eagles 10

Oops ... sounds like last night's score against the Commanders.

The Eagles have opened as 2.5-3 point favourites at Vegas. It'll be interesting to see if this changes during the week.

We haven't beaten the Eagles routinely when they DIDN'T have TO....however, we haven't had a secondary like this in about the same amount of time.

Dallas will open it up again and we will win. Our defense just won't allow them to score more than 14 points. As long as we score 1 more point than them....I'll be happy.

Wins in Philly are very hard to come by and they will be ready for us on Monday. The key will be to try and ride out that initial wave of emotion. This is one game where I'd prefer to start out on defense.

That should definitely move in our favor. I gotta imagine the majority of people's money will be on the Boys.

As for the original poster, if we play like we did against SD, we'll be fine. SD without Gates is a better offense than PHI without T.O. SD's defense is better than Philly's defense as well.

Watching Philly try to trun the ball vs. Washington was a joke. Everytime it looked like Westbrook was gonna blow through the line for atleast 8 yards, a Skins LB would grab him with one hand and take him down after 2-3 yards. He can't break/avoid tackle unless they're in the open field.

In order for Philly to move the ball, there would have to be colossal mistakes made by our secondary and D-line.

They can't run the ball.....and our CB's are better than their WR's.

All signs point to a Cowboys win IF we play our game and don't allow them to dictate the game.

Like Woodson says that BP said...."Let's punch them in the mouth."!

Really? Let's see...a 16-13 squeaker over the Giants (a game we very nearly blew), a horrendous loss to the Seahawks and an admittedly strong victory over an awful Cardinals team. How exactly have we been playing better?

You don't seem to understand the eb and flo of this forum.

After each win: We're Going to the Super Bowl

After each loss: This Just In ... We're an 8-8 Team!!!

So we've had two weeks to soak in the Cardinals win.
