Look, I’ve callled out Jerry and Sons as much as anyone the last year and a half and even for the better part of three decades. But don’t be so ridiculously pompous, that when they do something decent or that makes sense, you have to drag it in the dirt a few times before you’re Alishasatisfied that enough of you’re type of company is on the same page. Misery loves company!!!

We’ve been begging for this type of off-season for a lot of years. It’s been nonexistent. Most of you here either didn’t take economics, or didn’t do well in any type of applied mathematics, so you don’t understand the math behind the scenes. You gripe about everything because you have a lack of understanding. Theres no hope for this group. With what the FO has to work with, and what they must accomplish this off-season, they have actually done a good job so far in 25’. If you can’t say that now, you will have no right to change your tune , if the moves they have made this offseason prove to be successful!

My point with all of this is even if you are a hopeless fan, there can be days where you have to admit some decisions they make are a win for the team. You don’t have to continue the negativity to the point where you look like the person you’re claiming you hate! There will be plenty of reasons to do that later. Be happy when they actually do a good thing!!!

Agree! I think there a lot of objective posters. But I was just saying I don’t think it fits the extremes. Must controversies here have similar groups digging in their heels. You’ll see it soften some but not often. Honestly I don’t think either end are bad folks or fans. Just different ways to handle it. I think they've had a pretty good offseason. I think the bar is very low. I love the Pickens trade and I think they have a legit shot at 10-11 wins now. Then we'll see if schotty has something the last 6 guys didn't. But any positivity I have is only my own desperation for something to root for and is not earned. The folks that won't be happy until they see a 6th Lombardi. You are completely justified.

The Cowboys have the 8th best record in the NFL for the last 20 years. Now that’s not good enough as the goal is Super Bowls but to say “Unfortunately they are on the losing side of that ledger consistently, which goes to the larger point of them not being very good at roster construction” is disingenuous and just outright wrong.

Exactly those saying that we're not relative anymore and somehow we keep popping up on primetime where I'm primetime games we're still competitive we're still winning divisions and don't say that that's easy, That's what some of our fans think we we have like the Cleveland Browns haven't even won a division since 1989 they act like the regular season means nothing and winning a division means nothing I get it we want to go further but definitely need to get to an NFC championship game ASAP but that doesn't take away from the fact that the Cowboys are still relative they're still competitive and for me it's a one year at a time investment I don't really give a **** what happened last year or 20 years ago I only mattered what happens this year and when this is year's overall focus on next year..

Some people around here need to take away like what they use in AA it's the one day at a time this is one year at a time this is game changes the teams change their influx you can't hold on to the past and keep blaming past players and coaches or current players and coaches on what happened in the past all they can do is play the schedule one year at a time..

30 years is a lot less than 50-56.. I mean some of us pay attention there are droughts much worse than this in other sports as well wasn't there like 100 ear curse for one of the baseball teams? And I've always looked at it like this I also follow the Mavericks the stars and the Rangers the Rangers win almost a lifetime without a championship it was 56 years I believe they finally won one but they have won that's it just because it was recent doesn't make it more than one and the fact is as close as the Mavericks have gotten and the stars which they can hang their hat on getting close all three teams only have one each that's three total jerry has three by himself..

Yes the drought sucks but it's not that abnormal....

Heck, the Bengals haven't won a Super Bowl and ever and they took 31 years between their two losses and Buffalo I mean these are teams people are talking about right now as somehow they're a lot better than the Cowboys for some strange reason because they've more recently got closer but no I'll take our history i'll take our five Super Bowls and I'll for sure take our three Super Bowls we have with this current owner and I'll have pride in that and we'll wait on our next one...​

this. exactly. some folks want us to join them in lala land. they have lowered the bar so much that a trade is cause for celebration and deserves a 65 page thread....where if we really were a good team, with a real GM, this move would be ho-hum, lets go get ourselves a trophy..... instead of declaring victory because of a trade!

you can't tell somebody how to be a fan. every fan has an emotional attachment to the team for one reason or other....you have yours. you want to celebrate and shout from roof tops that we made a trade and how great it is. some of us haven't lowered the expectations and the bar. superbowls is how you measure. not a trade...
so if this makes you happy, then your bar is much lower than everybody else. enjoy it. your choice. don't buy ketchup. be happy with burnt toast. nobody is blaming you. but stop trying to pump sunshine up you know what and then point fingers that they should go away because they don't feel the same.
