It's week one fellas, and it's hard to gauge how good or bad the defense is/will be.
You want some perspective?
Think back to 2003, Bledsoe's first game with the Bills against his old team, the Patriots. The Bills destroyed the Patriots 31-0. Yet, the Pats went to win the superbowl that year, largely to a much improved defense from that week one lashing.
Several teams lost key starters during week one. The Bears, the Giants, and the Texans to name a few. The Cowboys should get back, at least, Newman pretty soon and hopefully Ellis to follow, but other than that the team is pretty intact and the offense is playing great football even without Glenn.
I'm still pretty optimistic about the the defense and looking forward to seeing improvements as the season rolls along.
So,
Stop gripping and...
How 'bout them Cowboys!
Oh!
I forgot, it's still week 1.
