Special teams performance was singled out by The Man DeCamillis, rookie kicker Buehler hit the balll about 10 times, with 2 touchbacks. Decamillis singled out pat watkins for his coverage, while rb alonzo coleman broke through the entire coverage 3 times.
On the 3-4 defense, this report I found said that the most impressive of all the big DEs is Igor Olshansky at 6-6 and about 309 pounds, with huge arms and shoulders, while looking impressively strong and quick moving easily through pass rush drills.
Something that caught my eye was on kickoffs, with coveages by players after buehler kicked off, McBair jogged gingerly as if a late addition to the coverage unit. So, I dont know if the writer meant that McBrair was going to be used on kickoff coverage too, or if McBrair was just jogging some to get kinks out after being hurt last year.
After practice with alot of players trying to sneak out without reporters getting any news from the players, McBrair slipped off his kicking shoes and started booming high tight spirals downfield, several appearing to be in the 50 yard range area. The reporter said that judging by the way he got around after such a serious injury last year that he couldnt play, but the way McBrair was punting the ball, was very impressive.
thought some of you would like these nuggets i ran across, didnt see anyone post something like this yet,
