Some "lesser" free agents I'd like to see the Boys pursue:

NT-- Jamal Williams or Ma'ake Kemoeatu (just released by the Panthers)...

C/OG-- Rex Hadnot (has a meeting set with the Broncos)...

FB-- 275 pound Jeremi Johnson...

None of these are likely to command big money...

I'd love to get Johnson, essentially another offensive lineman to help pop the hole for our platoon of backs. We need to get back to real deal smash mouth football, anyway. Romo will be great if we can continue to build on a stellar run game

no. I dont want my fb to get blow away by our slowest rb (barber). He (the fb) has to at least keep up with barber in my book

All I want him for is to lead Barber into the hole, and put the first linebacker he finds there on his butt... you don't need to be real fast to do that...

Seriously, the guy's just 5-11, and weighs 275 pounds; you don't buy a tank to go drag racing...

5-11 and 275? Sounds like Rerun on "What's Happening!!" Rerun was pretty light on his feet, of course, so who knows?

Exactly. How many of Emmitt Smith's record setting yards were Daryl Johnston DIRECTLY responsible for? Break out your calculators...

I have a cousin, name of Lee, who was those general dimensions when we were both young... his freakin' calves were bigger than most guys' biceps are... he was a regular Italian tank, and he could move pretty good too... I always said he should put on 20 more pounds and become a nose tackle...

We already have smashmouth OL - the problem is PASS protection. I shudder to think what Romo could/would do if he had REAL time to throw the ball.

Not a bad list SB, all good prospects with no high command of contract and I like the FB. A big bruiser like that is something dallas needs to move the chains. He doesnt have ot be fast, just run some guys over.

Sorry, SB, like your dream of moving a DT to Oline. We aren't going to be adding any smash-mouth FBs.

I wouldn't mind bringing in Hank Fraley for a look. It would be nice to get some capable veteran depth for the offensive line who is comfortable coming off the bench.

He could take over and more efficiently fill Procter's role and roster spot.

I wouldn't mind Fraley as a backup at all.

if he is a top blocker, you have to consider it. Someone that big could really stand someone like Jared Allen right up, or close to it. Witten is as good as there is but he just got destroyed by Allen because allen is just so strong.

since when do fullbacks need to be able to run with running backs?....their duty is to block and help RB get past LBs after that they are the WRs duty
