Offense:

The offense looked sloppy. Waiting until the last second to snap the ball just kills our rhythm.. Hopefully someday they realize this and we will just get up to the line and run a play.

Randle- I thought he played well and would've had a huge game if the receivers had not put us in a come from behind position.

Dunbar - Finally we see a role for him.. His hands and acceleration were showcased last night and he looked really good out there.. He needs to get out of bounds though there at the end.

Dez- The injury sucks but as long as Romo stands we still have a chance.

WR's- Horrible game last night and almost lost us the game. Drops and fumbles all game.

Screen passes to start the game - Yaaaaaaay.. More please

Defense- I loved how the defense looked for the most part..

The pass rush didn't get put on display because Eli had the lead and he was just going to snap the ball, take 2 steps back, and release.

We don't really contest receivers for the first few yards so teams will just dink and dunk us all they want if we don't have a lead.

We have to do something about that.

They wait until the last second because the defense shows what they are going to do. Romo knew time and time again where the blitz was coming from and where he needed blockers. It doesn't bother me one bit.

Exactly. Romo was basically calling out their defense. Why anybody would want to change that is beyond me.

Because it's a huge offensive advantage? Me either.

For someone that criticized the meat on the bone left by Murray, Randle left a lot of prime rib around himself. Twice on stretch plays, that should have been huge gainers, he was brought down by a simple arm tackle. And on another play, he missed a hole.

People can call me negative or worse, but last night was just a mediocre game from the TBs in the running department IMO. They were fantastic in the passing attack.

They stopped the run pretty well. Still think the secondary is a concern.

Me neither but we cut it close a lot on the clock. If you get a ref with an itchy trigger finger on a delay, that might hurt. I think at least twice last night, Romo was in that gray area of where a flag could have been thrown for delay. Even with the little extra time most refs give.

Lord that was driving me crazy, it was like nobody would be around for that little 3 yard pass, then they'd turn and run for two or three more, non-stop. I'm glad we were good at not giving up big plays, but we gotta stop that little dinking stuff too.

Wasn't blown away with the running game either. They had better get it turned around next week because if we have to be one dimensional against Philly they'll pin their ears back and get to the QB.

+1.

As much as I will root for Randle to be successful here, he looked like his rookie year self most of last night.

He's one of those I'll root for him but I'm not a big fan of him type of players

Get used to the passes to the RBs, because you're going to see lots of it this season.

Romo killing the play clock and changing the play/audibling / setting protections/ and getting the hot routes right is why we won the game...

This is one of the worst critiques of this offense anyone could post

Randle needed to be more patient and let the play and blocking develop. He will learn this. Collinsworth even mentioned this.
This is really their first time together as an Offensive unit. something that this coaching staff needs to do in pre-season...let them play more and get in sync.
They can claim all the want that it doesn't matter and it's about player evaluation. well it matters, and it shows every year on the first game.

Yeah...

I understand the theory but I see how we do when we play with urgency and id rather play with urgency.

Because it wasn't productive and it has stalled drives for years .

When you're in a funk you need to speed up the pace.

I think this is a Romo thing not the coaches or anything. Romo like to do the Peyton to see what the defense is going to do. It will always be like this until romo retires.

I'm fine with it but it should not be a staple..

Dallas is unstoppable when we play with pace and urgency.. We overwhelm teams..

I agree but it is a staple almost as much as romo to witten is a staple.

Looked like we couldn't get in a rhythm doing it to me.. Players like Dez basically falling asleep out there.

Between that and all the TV timeouts we had no rhythm most of the game.
