“When you have an offense like this with Zeke and Dez (Bryant) and (Jason) Witten, the ball isn’t going to come to you a lot. You have to contribute other ways. I decided to be the best blocker I could be.”

“You can’t control how many balls you catch,” Williams said, “but you can control your effort."

I'm not saying he's a star; he'll never be a #1, and there are certainly more productive #2's in the receiving game, but he's a very valuable member of the offense.

Remember seeing him run and make a block on Zeke's 83 yard td. Really was the last man that had a chance and Williams pushed him just far enough away to allow Zeke to finish.

And, as stated in the article, that was the 2nd player he blocked on that play. They talked about another TD earlier in the season when he blocked or screened 3 different players on the play.

As long as he has learned to stop doing dumb things I am ok with him.

So we are supposed to show some extra respect to a guy that is just doing his job?

You don't have to do ****.

Not really the point of this thread. The point is, despite the ball not coming his way, doesn't mean he's not doing anything. A lot of posters here struggle with it, they fixate on stats rather than game film.

His downhill production was expected with Dez returning. As long as he produces when his number is called, that's all that matters.

He has redeemed himself in my eyes since the Giants game. Hope some of the rest of you have noticed his effort in his blocking.

Yes. In an era of primadonna athletes (especially WRs) for a guy to embrace his role, not get hung up on numbers in a contract year, face fan and media backlash without flinching and focus on the little things, yes we should show extra respect.

Re-sign TWill to a reasonable deal. He shouldn't command a big deal but bring him back. Our offense is good enough to win a Super Bowl and the defense....maybe but needs improved. With TWill returning we won't need to draft his replacement and can go on defense instead with that pick.

The best blocking WRs on the team are TWill and Lucky.

First of all, he's flinched, he was feeling sorry for himself publicly after his week one snafu. Secondly, there are hundreds of NFL players that embrace their role in their organizations. Twill has done nothing extraordinary that warrants any special props thrown his way.

Do what you feel my man. I'll do what I feel. I'm gonna respect the guy for the reasons I stated. And the other players who approach things the same way.

Are you giving Dak or Elliott or the OL respect? Are any of then doing something other than their jobs?
I don't think anyone said "extra" either.

I was upset with TWill after failing to get out of bounce.
But I think he learned his learn and made a smart block for Zeke's screen pass without getting a penalty.
Definitely an improvement.

He's going to be paid handsomely this offseason. I'm not sure why anyone thinks otherwise.
