You could, but Id rather just take the best LT in the 1st and not try to get cute
If a good LT is there it’s the right move. But LT always gets picked over early. Hopefully a ton of WB’s get taken early and push some guys down

This is a very deep LT draft though. You are probably looking at 10-12 guys that could be NFL LT's

I would like to see a move away from this Defensive Style. It doesn't work over the course of a season. Quinn needs to be told he needs to adapt to a new scheme. Bigger LBs, Bigger DT.
Quinn needs to go. He ain't changing. Get someone off the 49ers or Ravens staff that can bring some physical defensive play back to Dallas.

Much better option than trade up. Can Pan isn’t a first round talent. Depending on who’s there when we pick a trade back to the second could be a great move. Probably gets you a 2nd and 4th
I can’t imagine a scenario where trading up in the 1st makes sense given the cost to do so. Having only 5 pick puts a premium on the value to the team of each pick.

The downside to trading out of the 1st is losing the 5th year option. But that’s less valuable late in the 1st where they’ll be picking than, say, the top 10 IMO.

As late as we will be picking in the first rd, I think trading back for more picks is something to think about.
This is a very deep draft for tackles; so we might get a very good prospect in the first third of the second rd if we work things right

There are probably 7 legit NFL QB prospects in this draft. Get one in the first 4 rounds.
I am not so sure there is such a thing as a legit top 7 QB in any draft. The way the league is going, any QB prospect has to be paired up with an OC/HC that can develop them. T Law? The jury is still out and his HC has a bit of a history of screwing up top rated QB's. We have Lance on the roster for a reason and who can say he is any better/worse than anybody else you would take in the 4rh rd next year? It used to be said to build a roster around youru QB, I now think you build your QB around your roster

I think there really is virtually no such thing as a can't miss QB prospect. Luck was the last one I think and how long ago was that; and before him?

I think you get the best QB you can just make sure he has good people around him.
NOW if he become a true elite QB THEN you make it a point to taylor the talent around him to compliment his style

The situation is KC is proof positive about all this, and the situation with Trevor Lawrence is another stark reminder on how Douggie killed the career of Wentz and if not stopped will do this to him

What you are seeing this year with Mahoones is a case of Reid making a mistake and the GM as well by not doing better with the WRs
Honestly Manoones is the only QB is see now where you should bend every effort to cater to his strengths and do nothing else

I like Tolbert. I think the only thing holding him back is Gallups deal.
I think he could be an ok #4 or even a decent #3, but his production when he has gotten snaps has been so so. I think he maxes out as what we got from Wilson in 2021. Unless they really love Brooks, they are going to need someone who can develop into a good #2 in the next couple years. Or else we are in a situation where we were with Crayton and Williams where we lived and died by Owens and Bryant because our #2 was subpar

That's what happens when you can't afford to keep the best WR in the game, and seemingly failed at trying to replace him
