Had no idea about the new about the new rule........that's a lot of players being released at one time.

For the first time ever, the league has allowed teams to carry up to 90 players on the roster until the day that each team must reduce to 53. This doesn’t mean that all teams will keep 90 men until Saturday.

Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette notes that the Steelers plan to make some of their cuts earlythis week, prior to the preseason finale at Charlotte.

All teams need at least 22 guys to play on Thurs and those are the most likely cut

That is why they change the rules instead of cancelling the last PS game like they should

right, but there are a few players you know just aren't going to play though too. Maybe a few players are banged up enough not to play, and won't be on the team. So who keep them hanging around.
