None of knows what will happen. A you say no chance to trade up for Robinson. You don't even know that.
Chances are more likely they stay put, then possibly a slight trade down has better chances. But we don't know. So I would not say ...no chance ...

Heck, and I am not comparing them at all, but we could see a slight trade up for Robinson as the did for Emmitt. Though the had the extra draft picks to burn back then.
I prefer a trade down over a trade up. Picks up an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick. But a trade up of say 4 slots is 80 points, so a 4th round pick. I am not sure I would like that. But a 5th, yes.

The Cowboys would like to get Bijan Robinson and if he is there at 26 they would take him. I could see them doing a slight trade up maybe to 21 or 23 to get Robinson or stay put at 26 and take him if he is there.

If Robinson is gone they could stay at 26 and take one of Nolan Smith, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Michael Mayer, Darnell Wright, Drew Sanders, Myles Murphy, Zay Flowers, or a surprise player that dropped.

If they feel strongly about getting Steve Avila they could also trade back and take Avila or they could trade back and take Will McDonald, Jahmyr Gibbs, Emmanuel Forbes, or a receiver like Josh Downs or Cedric Tillman.

It is going to be interesting. I can't wait to see what happens.

-Robinson is definitely in play, especially if he gets close to our pick.
-I don't envision them trading out of the 1st rd, they love that 5th yr option.
-1st rd pick should be the best player available no matter the fit, you worry about that later.

In fairness, if you added O'Cyrus Torrence and Darnell Washington you'd have named pretty much everyone that gets regularly mocked between 15-31 with the added bonus of it could be "a surprise player that drops". I do think it's more wide open this year than most though.
