In the end the FO didn’t hold any value for Dez. And why they didn’t even attempt to offer him less. Those are all good points. I keep thinking that Dez had begun to rub some people the wrong way over time. I think he was overall well liked by his teammates. But if you are vocal and abrasive, plus mediocre in performance and have a history of requiring the team to monitor your behavior, people tend to get tired of the antics. Don't know for sure but maybe that played in some too.
....the infamous hamstring injury will attach to The Boys new #1 WR.......book it.Dez is still good. We just suck at throwing the ball and scheming guys open.
I’m fine if they release Dez by acknowledging that.
But don’t release Dez and then turn around and draft a guy that will disappear from games and pigeon holed to a few routes a game.
Oline, and TE is where you should draft if you want to help this offense.
Don’t even think about WR until round 3.
I don’t disagree that Dak needs to improve footwork and mechanics. But that can all be fixed but if our coaches still show that once again they are incapable of making mid-game, mid-week or mid-season adjustments, we are headed to another non-playoff year.We need to fix DAK and his throwing mechanics.his footwork....his ability to read the receivers and patterns and make ON TIME throws to the correct receiver. Our brass needs to do their homework on Dak. Find our what throws are his strengths......work diligently to get these particular throws into his game plan. .
I’m not sure we need superior talent at each position but we defintely need elite talent at the key positions .I don’t disagree that Dak needs to improve footwork and mechanics. The NFL is becoming less and less a “players league” where individual players totally dictate your success. The NFL now is much more a coaches/front office league where the ability to put together a jigsaw puzzle of players that can be coached up to perform well as a team within the scheme and salary cap is bigger than just drafting a bunch of talented players. Players in the NFL salary cap era don’t last as long as they used to because teams don’t need them in the same way they did 20 years ago.
This is exactly why Dallas hasn’t won a second round playoff game in two decades plus. Jerry does not value the importance of a strong, strategic HC, nor does he respect the importance of having someone around him in the FO him who has the power to say no. He has to be talked into doing things because he has no equal.
Jerry is the only thing that holds us back. But he is the biggest thing that keeps us mediocre. The way he runs this team now requires that we have superior talent at each position because we don’t have great coaching.
