Overall we played a good game in the first three quarters. We were in it until the last few minutes of the game.
Everyone had us geting blown out.
Bad:
Turnovers - This game was going to be about ball control and turnovers. they came back to bite us in the butt finally. Romo needs to protect the ball but the ball was sailing on him, was that due to the wind? One INT seemed to be due to a miscommunication and the fumble seemed like a BS call to me, but I will get to that later.
Choice - He wasn't used enough in the second half, I would have loved to see circle routes or flares. In the second half the Steeler D got used to that draw play, it was useless in the second half, should have went to the toss or something else.
Play calling - The middle of the field was really open I would have liked to see Bennett used in the middle of the field more. Witten's head was not in the game in the second half.
Refs - I hate to blame the refs but the fix was in. Romo's Fumble was a BS call he had control of the ball when he hit the ground. The spot on the third down play was 2 yards ahead of where he was down. Poor spot, might have cost us the game. Other non-calls were there as well.
Special Teams - Kick the FG wade! poor tackleing players not aware of the ball, nothing more needs to be said. Poor effort.
Blocking - RW needs to learn how to block down field.
Injuries - What was going on, we had a lot of guys go down.
Good
Ball movement - We moved the ball in poor weather against the #1 D. This is a good thing for the O. In warm weather we score more often and win handily.
Defense - D kept us in the game despite getting bad field position from the O. Minor lapses lead to big plays.
Non conference loss - We have a wild card spot despite the loss now that Atlanta lost.
Folk - What can I say.......Money!
