needless to say, murray to date is our biggest loss. the financial debate tied to the carries per year tied to the aging back over "x" years old all put aside, he was a huge part of our "team" success last year. we all cried out in agony for a running game and made KILL KILL paint jokes to laugh through the stupidity but in holding off on that we were building a line that would eventually prove even *we* can get some picks right every once in awhile.

given how many we've lost so far in this FA, i think that more than anything proves how much better we've done at finding, drafting and developing talent. regardless of who comes and goes, this alone is a huge step in the right direction that lays the foundations of success.

yes, i said that. your job today is get "lays the foundations of success" into a conversation today. GO!

but we've also lost a lot of the other players that while not necessarily dominate, have become players we've gotten used to hearing about. dwayne harris instantly comes to mind. he's been our special teams returner for awhile now and early on had some pretty damn good success. he's also proven he can be a "go to" receiver, even if not a top 3. certainly a spot player but not something that can't be replaced. not do kick him on the way out, i loved him and his hair, but what he gave us can be replaced as his overall stats were average. his hometown success buoyed him this far but he's a giant now. honestly, that doesn't scare me all that much. good for you dwayne.

but it is another change.

now list on and on the names we've been pulling for over the last few years and many of those, while not OH MY GOD WE'RE DOOMED they're gone, will certainly have an overall affect on the team we see week in and week out. who we root for and of course, who we hate cause... um... well it never seems to matter why but there's always a cowboy or two tied to the whipping post around here so i wonder who will get those duties next.

but not seeing murray in the backfield and there being such a huge question mark about who will fill the role (and honestly some of the names people will bring up simply amaze me and make me giggle things out of my nose) and looking at all the changes, whether FA's are brought in now and we give up a hell of a 3-7 round multiple pick up draft in the coming year or wait until June 1 to see who else shakes free is going to fuel the board and some boards vivid imaginations for the months to come into the start of the season.

whatever the case may be, it's going to be a very different experience watching the cowboys next year. how much so just kinda sneaks up on me with every familiar name to leave.

JJ may have something up his sleeve but as of now we are losing. I really dont care about not signing any big time agents but we lost several productive players in which we could of resign at good prices but allow them to walk. As of now who do we have to replace those guys ?No one but some wash up guys.

When we went bargain shopping last year we knew Ro demonstrated he could beast, Carter could become a force, Murray could pound the rock and Melton can get sacks. Now we move forward with our current list of replacements and it look kinda slim. Has any one of them show the ability to produce ? Nope , we sign some true JAGS.

Our best hope now is to land Hardy, draft 2 potential DL, LB and a RB. Afterward if Spencer and Selieve is still out there bring them back.
