Somebody explain why I can't enjoy the ride the 'boys are on?

Well said! Bravo!

Enjoy the wins. Why cheer for them during the game while they're playing and then bring yourself down afterwards. Some people aren't happy unless the have something to worry about. It's the "need for tragedy in my life" syndrome.

At this point in the season, I'm not thinking about 16-0 or playoff seeding or power rankings or anything like that.

All I am doing is looking forward to each Sunday when this guy from nowhere... Tony Romo.... brings a smile to my face and entertains me in a way that I enjoy football more than I have since (possibly) Roger hung them up. As fun as the early 90s were, I actually enjoy these games more.

Based on recent history, December is the "show me" month. In the meantime, enjoy whatever comes our way.

I am there too. I believe in this kid. I don't do that.

I'm right there with you. I enjoy the win for the rest of the football week. Tuesday it's "focus on next week" time.
Exactly. Enjoy the success and then on Tuesday, start thinking about the next game.

Believe it or not I agree with this statement, too.

I haven't had as much fun since the mid 90's......Romo is making me feel 20 years younger.:laugh2:

I'm on this wagon until someone kicks me off of it....which isn't going to happen.

Why can't some people just sit back and enjoy this ride....??? Beats the heck out of me.????

Makes me want to eat a big old crock of pea salad.

I think it boils down to the society we've become. We seem to want to build things up and watch them fall so we can kid ourselves that individually we smarter than the person that fails, even to the point of trying to predict it.

But we're not smarter. We are afraid of enjoying the simple things, like watching hard work pay off. And when it does pay off, we want to qualify it somehow.

But it's a load of crap. Hard work *does* pay off. We're seeing it on the field. The team isn't perfect, but it's trying hard, every week. And it's largely living up to the unbelievable expectations the fans are putting on it.

There will be failures, but let's enjoy the successes. There's nothing wrong with laughing like a little kid and high-fiving total strangers when Romo or TO or Barber or Crayton makes an unbelievable play.

Embrace the moment, folks. You never know how many more of them there'll be. But don't try to kill the joy. Let it grow.

This team is coming back with a vengeance. And a smile on its face. :D

Agree.
That's why sometimes the Cowboys post game show on the radio is a bummer sometimes.
This team is fun to watch and the defense is improving every week it seems.
What's not to like?
We even cut down on our penalties. No excuses Cowboy fans...the team can only play the teams on thier schedule no matter how good or bad they are...we are winning and winning impressively....enjoy it for cryin out loud!:star:

Thanks WG for posting that. I was getting ready to do the same thing. I am a FAN. I am allowed to get over excited. I don't play the game. I don't have any input to the organization. I don't know any players coaches or staff, not that my opinion would matter if I did. So nothing I say or do (never mind the fact that as soon as I put my lucky jersey on we start scoring.) will affect the game.

So yes my Cowboys are undefeated and are whopping everyones tail and putting them in the hurt locker. This team is going to the SB and we are going to beat whomever we play. We are going to beat up NE in two weeks I cannot wait for that game. We are bringing home Number six, so mods start looking at getting a new smiley for this.....:lombardi:

Considering that this is the first time the Dallas Cowboys have gone 4-0 since 1995 I'm ecstatic right now! When I look at the numbers of teams going 4-0 to start the season in relation to going to the playoffs/Superbowl I really get happy! So in closing I would ignore the pessimists on the board...

People make me sick...We are getting better every single game...These negative guys can kiss it.

Did anyone see that graphic during the colts game?

Dallas was like 23-6 or 8 in Sept over the last 5-6 years?

I'm blaming it on the overmedication of America. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
