This keeps getting more and more interesting. I'll tell ya, if we sign TO, there will never be a dull moment, that's for sure.
I'm up in the air about the money. Obviously, I don't think he's going to sign cheap. Can't remember who said it, but someone said his agent will have done a good job if he gets a deal like David Givens. To that, I say BS. TO is going to want money, and a lot of it.
In a way, it's understandable. If you're Terrell Owens and a guy that has one year as a No. 2 receiver (Randel El) signs for $30 million, are you, as the arguably the league's most talented receiver, going to sign for $24 million?
I don't like the idea of there not being any conditions in his contract. To me, his behavior has waranted this. His talent deserves tons of money, but there needs to be clauses. This is a two way street, Terrell.
We've been fiscally responsible this offseason (too much so?), so I'm not too concerned over the money we offer him. I think if we give him a sweet deal, Parcells will have been sold on the fact he can coach him. And if, by chance, he can, the Cowboys will have a heck of a player on their hands.
If they can't....[insert emoticon here]
