If the Rams are really that bad, that's OK.

But if the Eagles are that good . . . . wow.

In Philly I saw an efficient and chains-moving team.
Either way I cannot wait for that Monday night game.
The Rams are that bad and on top of that had a bad game.

The Eagles are very good, and had a great game.

When you combine the two you get an aberration. Play those same two teams next week and it could be a lot closer. I doubt the Rams ever had a prayer of winning it without playing out fo their collective minds.

Did you watch the Eagles game or just see the highlights? This has to be the worst homer comment I have ever seen on this board.

I think he just watched the highlights although I didn't see the game either. I think if we can stop Westbrook our chances of victory go up a lot. Stop the run make them pass. Of course RW demloshing Desean Jackson will also help =)

I think Phillys defense is going to be very good but their offense isnt nearly as strong as it looked. The Rams defense was just pathetic, they were out of position and taking some really bad angles all game. Looked more like the West Virginia defense vs ECU this weekend then a pro defense. I think Linehan (sp) is on his way out, it is just a matter of when.

From someone that was at the game...I'd say the Rams were pretty bad. They got no pass rush, their secondary made mistakes, and offensively, Bulger looked scared because he didn't trust the offensive line. The Rams are not built to come back from deficits so once they got behind, it was over. The poster who said at 14-0 the Rams were in the game...not really. The score was 14-0 but very easily could have been 28-0 at that point. And the Eagles dropped two INT's that could have been returned for touchdowns. The Rams only FG drive was because the Eagles put in second stringers on defense. I would say 55% of the game was because the Rams were bad, and 45% was the Eagles being very, very good.

The Rams offense isn't bad, it's the defense. I think when all is said and done, especially in a weak NFCW, they'll be in the thick of things by the end of the year, largely b/c of their O.

Really-the Eagles D this year scares me. Their young, frisky, talented, and very quick. I'm still not sold on Asante Samuel, but like I said in other threads-having Sheppard/Brown will help play to his strengths, and give JJ the luxury to blitz anytime he wants.

What do abberation mean?

I saw a rejuvenated McFlabb picking the rams apart.

My gut tells me to NOT worry about the Eages.

But it was this same group of entrails that told me NOT worry about the Giants last December.
Thank god, we will be at home.

Hey Eagles look good even tho the Rams are horrific. McNabb looks sharp and the D-fense is making plays. Will be a good test for the Cowboys. Big advantage is it’s the home opener on prime time tv. I see the Dallas pass rushers coming alive in this one. I also think we need to pull out some Barber/Jones combo plays.

Didn't the Eagles blow someone out the first game of last season, and all of the same things were being said about them.

If we intend to be super bowl champions.. we have to beat whoever it takes.
The Eagles IMHO, did look damn damn good.

We will see just what they got on Monday night!

They actually started 0-2, but then blew out the Lions in wk3(which is when everyone thought McNabb was back in top form).

This year is different-McNabb is healthy, as is Westbrook/LJ Smith. DeSean Jackson is making alot of noise, and that Eagles D is youthful, talented, and very fast. And Reid seems to have put his personal problems behind him.

I hope we beat them, but I am VERY nervous about this game.

Problem is that all the spot lights are on us.
The eagles dont have all the media around them and all the "championship" tags!

I hope we do win

I'm actually pretty drunk off the Kool-Aid.

We are a physically imposing unit, we push you around - and we are getting comfortable in Wade's scheme. You can tell the defense looked more like it knew what it was doing yesterday, last year they looked confused.

Wait till Newman comes back, then we can really start bringing some looks. We are going to be a very very good football team this year. When players are comfortable in their schemes they can fly around and make plays, I see a team that is only going to get better and better.

Philly exposed a very very very bad team. They'll be drafting in the top 5 again next yea. Not sold on McNabb being rejuvenated, they've got speedy young guys outside that can stretch the field - but all I say yesterday was a team exposing week corners on go outes. We aren't the St. louis rams. We roll them like Cleveland, especially at home. Expect the defense to make a play, possibly for a score.

Like I said, the Kool Aid tastes good. Our pass protection, and abusive run blocking are gonna carry us.
