...how in the matter of one week - or game in this case - we have gone from "going to the Super Bowl," to talking about the draft and what we need in FA!?

And I'm talking about people here on this board. For cripe's sake people, get a grip!

We played poorly on one side of the ball this ONE GAME. And now the season is over and we suck.

Either stay on the bandwagon and ride the season out, or get off and stay off. Hey, the OL's play is not above questioning, but they are FAR from the worst line in the NFL. Trust me - I live in Houston and have been forced to hear about the Texans.

We win Sunday and we will get a playoff spot. Chill.

It's the typical unrealistic fan syndrome. Everything is either totally great or completely awful. No middle ground.

We are a good team with a great defense and an average offense.

This was a HUGE game for the Boys. Division rival, for the lead in the division and comin off of a tough T-giving game, which was a loss.

And the O laid an egg. Superbowl teams win and build momentum the last part of the season. Dallas is stumbling, bumbling and fumbling their way to 9-7, if they're lucky.

KC will give us all we can handle and so will Carolina, Washington and even St. Louis. If we can't beat the Giants for the lead in the division, when are we going to step up, like SB teams do?

It's pretty easy if you actually watched the game last Sunday. This was probably the worst offensive performance in the last 2 years in the biggest game since Bill has been here.

If the offense can't come out and play well in a meaningful game, where is the cause for celebration?

Even me, the biggest Drew supporter, is seriously concerned. Both with Drew's play and the OL play.

It hasn't been just ONE week that we have looked pretty poor on offense.

It's a combination of things for me.

Thats why I said to huddle up.

Everyone, including me, was pissed on Sunday night and most of Monday, but then we all started to realize it was one tough divisonal road game where the offensive line laid an egg. Hopefully they can come back this week and play at a much higher level to get the Cowboys to an 8-5 record. Then on Sunday Night and Monday everyone will be back on the Super Bowl bandwagon because we beat a good Kansas City team.

I broke a finger on Sunday from punching a hole in the wall, now it's Wednesday and I feel like an idiot because we only lost by a touchdown.

It's all being a die hard fan who lives and breathes Dallas Cowboys football!

Because those who predicted Super Bowl refused to acknowledge how bad this O-Line has been. And how much we depend on young players.

We've been unable to string together winning streaks all year, significant ones, which is what you have to do to get to the SB

Billy, I think its not a matter of acknowledging this line is playing bad, many have not said it was good. But last Sunday was the worst performance of the year, which kinda makes it stand out even more...At least I think so.

Can the line play better to finish out the year ? I sure hope so.

I never predicted a Superbowl, but I always hope for one. Some I guess may think that if they predict one it will help their hope...

Heck, why not.

Then reality hits us hard in the face...Ouch.

Yes, this line is playing bad. Why, well there have been numerous post here from us all guessing why. At this point I will just say they are playing bad and leave it at that. I have my own theory(s)...But so do many others who probably know more than I.

I think that reality has started to hit for some of the pple. We are a good D, with no O.line. If Parcells can manage to get pple to actually play wjhile out there, we could still make the playoffs. But when you look at our O line from the last 2 games, its clear we dont have the horses to run this race right now.

Being a building year, I am ok with that. Parcells will address the Oline in the offseason and we will be a more complete and solid team. But for now, we are a 1 demensional team and teams can negate that demension.

enough already with the "we're rebuilding, address it next offseason, blah, blah.........
this is the era of quick turnarounds, 1-2 years, and this is Parcell's third year! i'm tired of losing!

we're a mediocre 7-5 team. you don't all of a sudden turn it on and find a miracle cure the last 4 games of the year. it's obvious to any football fan that our team is full of holes and getting worse instead of better. injuries happen to everybody so that's not an excuse.

i never thought super bowl but the way the year started with Bledsoe did get my hopes up.
but now, just another year of frustration

The bottom line is that many fans are impatient, have knee-jerk reactions from week to week, and are clueless.

I'm sorry that you've only been able to see one game this year, but our OL was sub-par the majority of the year, and especially bad since Flozell went down.

It is because that one game was a VERY Critical one. If we win it we have essentially a 2 game lead in the NFC East but by losing it we are now one game back. Losing that game cost was like losing 2 games at once and we are now in a dogfight for a Wildcard spot instead of being in the catbird seat in our division. Had we won that game we could have afforded to lose one of our remaining games and still win the division; now if we lose one more game we likely will not make the playoffs at all. Given these facts and the fact that our offense is simply not playing well and has not played well for several weeks and you can see just how much trouble the team is in.

While I appreciate your optimism it does not change the fact that we are in trouble at this point. Winning Sunday will not be enough; we have to win 4 out of 5 the rest of the season for a shot at a Wildcard spot and we face some good teams along the way. Since there is a very real possibility that we will not even make the playoffs and the team is struggling people who are aware of this are looking at how to fix the problems before going into next year. Not to be mean here but you really should analyze the situation before berating those who do know what is going on.

That may be the general trend in the NFL. Tampa Bay, Baltimore etc... but then theres the Patriots who are building for en extended stay at the top. The Colts that are not going away next year.

I think Parcells has a plan. It includes getting by with what you have right now and fix it next year. Last year was the D Bill wanted. This off season will be the O line Parcells wants. Behind a line like Gesek, Gogan, Step, Williams and Allen, Bledsoe would look like Aikman or better, and the RBs, man, JJ and Barber would still be running,

I think if you look at Parcells tenure here, thats what he wants. A perennial contending team, not a one year wonder. I think Jones is behind him in this and I certainly am. I love what we have become at this point, and look forward to an active offseason. Our owner is willing to do whatever it takes it its needed to win.

Give it time and enjoy the ride. You watching the birth of a potential dynasty if Bill has anything to say about it. Your really great teams of the decade are not one year wonders full of vet FA and low dollar draft picks. You want to win it this year then fall to the bottom as our heros go off chasing more dollars. I dont. I want a team of team players that have played together for 3-4-5 years and will take less to stay here finish this thing. Thats what Bills building.

Sorry. But you cannot tell the future. There is no guarantee that the Giants win the division. As of now, the Cowboys are still in contention for the division title.
