We should sign him! :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

Every day there are about 2-3 new threads by someone (you know who you are) about a player who has been or will be released with the thought that we should sign the guy.

This team isn't that far away from being a contender already, the last thing we need is a bunch of scrubs, castoffs, criminals, and has beens cluttering up the roster.

Could we make a moratorium for the weekend and not post any new "we should sign this guy" threads?

Let's talk about the combine as that is actually pertinent news.

Well, if we really aren't that far away from being a contender, one of these released players might be what puts us over the top.

And do you really expect us to spend every thread talking about an event (the combine) that we aren't able to see firsthand and where 99% of the "news" that comes out of Indianapolis this week is irrelevant?

No I "expect" us to talk about signing Pacman Jones. :bang2:

cause alot of people don't know the college guys. plus what they did in coillege means nothing. look at reggie bush. he was a great runner in college but he couldn't run all year.

You are joking right? Bush wasn't used as the primary RB but was mostly a receiver out of the backfield. The ONLY time he got 20 carries he ran for 126 yards against the Giants. His next highest number of carries in a game was 13, twice, and he got just over 50 yards both times.

Bush scorched us for 125 yards receiving and made our DBs look like rookies as he faked them out of their jocks on his way to a TD. He averaged 6.2 yards per carry and 20.8 yards per catch against us.

The Saints have a 1000-yard runner in Deuce McAllister and didn't need Bush to carry the ball a lot and he still gained over 1300 total yards on the season. He actually caught more passes than Terrell Owens (88 - 85) this year!

Yeah, he couldn't run all year.

thats why i said "runner" i was aware he was a great reciever and yeah he had a good game against an injured defense thats not very good when they are healthy giants team.

WOW! Nice info.. I hadn't realized that. I'm still not impressed as I think I should be after all the hype coming out of college.

That is your opinion and you are entitled to it. I believe tracking men at the combine to be a bit lame. Leave that to the darn scouts. If someone wants to make a thread about signing a player so be it. I'm pretty sure you aren't new to the whole off season drought on an NFL message board. So while you cry about someone making a thread... Remember that the off season is always like this. Just like how the board is when we win, or lose. No changing everyone... if that were the case life would be boring as heck.

Plus you got to remember that if we traded our whole team for an entirely new one, we would automatically be better, well maybe we could keep Demarcus Ware. Plus we should get rid of our coaches and owner, heck maybe every year we don't win the Superbowl we should just start over, thats what makes dynasties you know.

Thumper makes one of the best threads in recent weeks, although it will fall upon deaf ears most likely.

Cowboys are a close team. Everyone should already know the needs.

Everytime I see a thread about a top prospect QB it seems so unlikely that I dont understand why someone would have started the thread. Hell, my favorite was 'LaVar is released, should we sign him'.

Wait until we get those 'the sky is falling' threads when free agency begins and we don't go after any of the big name players. It's as guaranteed to happen as the sun rising in the east every morning.

I just dont get why either...the Skins do it EVERY yr and it gets them absolutely nowhere...you'd think after seeing a team in our OWN division do the same thing year after yr and utterly fail afterwards, that maybe some of our people would see it isnt such a great idea
