Just got done watching Schefter on NFLN talk about trade talks between the Cowboys and Dolphins. He made it sound like the talks HAD taken place and that we were offering three picks (including both firsts) and the rights to
MB3. Jerry is on record that the talks have never taken place... is Jerry blowing smoke on this one? If he trades up for #1, it will set us back five years. you would think he would have learned from galloway you never, ever trade multiple first rounders. i don't care what mcfadden ran, he is not worth it. deion was all over it saying it would be a huge mistake to part with The Barbarian.

I would cry if we traded for #1. We could get great players with those picks.

Jerry said you only trade up for a QB, nothing else.

I think a trade with Atlanta is more likely.

I didn't deserve this thread. I hadn't done anything bad.

You sure about that? You are married and that normally means that you did something..... or at least she thinks you have.

i'd video type myself cryn and put it on youtube sayn don't make that trade :lmao2:

Unless Schefter got it straight from the GM(or more to the point BP) how does he know? One thing about BP is he does not talk to anyone in the Press except a couple of his pets= and Schefter AIN'T one of them. Jerrah does not leak either- he misdirects in public. If a leak came its more likely from the Falcons. Just do not believe it.

Shefter's job is to throw out rumors and a lot of them don't come to pass. I'll trust the Jones' here, they aren't trading up that high. Its just too much to give up. Now if McFadden falls out of the top ten then a trade up could happen.

I just asked her. Nope, she said the earth moved.

:star: WOW, even Deion understands the repercussions of this horrendous deal. This is a nobrainer, vote No on McFadden Jerry, please, as a fan and a human being I beg you.

It's getting annoying now. You cant even hear McFadden's name without it being followed by "Jerry Jones", "Arkansas alumni" "Trade top draft picks and Marion Barber", etc. It's pathetic.

it's one thing to want mcfadden, but totally something else to give up a ransom trade up to number one and give the guy 30 million plus guaranteed money when he will likely drop to somewhere around the 6th pick at least.

i am not really against trading up for mcfadden, but we don't need to trade all the way up to number one.

Why are you stirring up *****. I heard the same report you did. He said nothing of talks between Cowboys and Dolphins taken place. He said he was simply repeating a rumor floating around.

Actually Shefter said the deal was left on the table. I don't belevie the rumpr at all, I think the Atlanta trade is more likely to go down.

NFL Network reported during the combines today that the Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys are discussing a trade for the top pick. It was reported Dallas is considering trading Marion Barber and three picks for that top pick, which is going to be for Darren McFadden.

McFadden's stock went through the roof today after he ran a 40 sprint time of 4.27, the fastest of the combines.

If this trade happens, there will be a horde of Cowboys fans that will go berserk. I am one of them. This trade really makes no sense because any dumb bell could see that the Cowboys need a ton of help in the secondary. That is the team's most-pressing need. How the Cowboys address it is going to be incredibly huge for the future success of this football team. Seeking solutions in later rounds isn't going to cut it. We cannot play a game of craps shoots with the secondary anymore!

Then, there is an aging wide receiver corps. Miles Austin and Sam Hurd aren't going to be stars in this league. The Cowboys need to find a replacement for Terry Glenn and Terrell Owens.

Marshal Faulk and Rich Eisen couldn't stop talking about Jerry Jones and the Cowboys giving the Arkansas running back such a strong look. Reportedly, Jones left after McFadden ran the 4.27.
For the life of me I cannot figure out why the Cowboys are even considering this trade. The biggest problem I have with McFadden is he is top heavy. He's got chicken legs. I could tackle him by his chicken legs.

Then you look at a running back like Jonathan Stewart's lower body and his 230-pound frame. You wonder how the heck he ran a 4.44. I wouldn't want to be in front of J.S. at full speed.

I will keep an eye on this development, but I knew the tardiness of signing Barber is a signal of bad news. And remember, you heard it here first.
