Something about this team is addicting

I've always been addicted since I can remember, a HUGE fan, but something about the team this year is really addicting. I cant stay off this site or listening to the cowboys lunch break. I feel like a team that went .500, we have REALLY good core players. The entire offense outside of the line is special. On defense we have players like Ware, Lee, Jenk, Rat --probowl type guys. On the other hand, we have a TON of average or below average guys on our team. I know we need alot of players, but I really think we are close. Robs gonna be better next year. We will have better defensive players, and the players who remain will be much more comfortable in his system. I think if we fix the offensive line we can be a real contender regardless of how much we fix on defense. The saints, packers, patriots all have below avg defenses, and look where they go. They all have 3-4 really good players on defense just like us. Im addicted to this team more then ever right now. I have hope, and I do believe we are only a year or two away from really contending. I'm with you man. I feel the same way.We are very close to having balance with all three phases (Offense, Defense, STs). Many teams forsake one phase to strengthen others. Balance will takes us to greater heights.

Just don't say we're on the "cusp". That word brings out rage in some of our fans. :laugh2:

BUT if we address a good portion of it, we have the opportunity to field a very good team next year. A few key things should happen in the coaching sector though... Dave Campo needs to go and we should go hard at Sparano to take some of the heat off of JG. I maintain my belief that JG is on track to be a very good HC but he is spread too thin. It takes a special person to be HC and OC.. and to ask that of a young up & comer.. Well.. I don't particularly think that's the best route to go. Please bring Sparano back.

I agree, we have the skill players on Offense, just need to fix OL. Draft a Guard in 1st round, the kid from Stanford should be there, DeCastro?

Then defense afer that, give Ryan a chance with an off season to implement his Defense.
Get him some players.

I been critical of this defense all year, and Ryan. But it's now off season, lets get next year mode......I'm ready.......

I couldn't agree with you more, I've been obsessed with this team for over 35yrs or more. I'm really hyped now because of JG. I truely believe we've got the correct HC to get us to the SB again.

Let Rob get to work on acquiring his own guys. Let this defense truly become what he feels will be most successful in his system. Some of these guys on Defense should have never been offered a ride on the flight back home from New York last week. Pink slips & bus tickets.
